Express Your Appreciation to the Devs

This is not a 'yes-man thread.' It is not the place to defend the devs or the game, nor is it the place to criticize either. Both of those goals may be worthy, but they belong elsewhere.

The sole purpose of this thread is to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to the devs for their efforts - and to remind them that, whatever arguments may rage throughout the forums, whatever criticisms we may express elsewhere, we nonetheless care for and appreciate them.

I'll begin:

Thank you for your efforts in making Stellaris. My combined play time is now probably in excess of several full 24-hour periods, which means that several of the days of my life have been full of enjoyment - thanks to you. Thank you for continuing to develop the game, for introducing exciting new ideas and for working to fix things when they break. It's been a blast (figuratively for me, literally for my foes), and I look forward to hours and days of fun ahead. Thank you. May you be well.

Thank you for providing us with such a great game. Yes, there are some converns in the moment, but I am very confident that you will fix them and make Stellaris even greater than it already is.

Agree...Stellaris still has quite a road to travel but dedication (to me) is what best defines the PDX team. This game already ate 50% of my vacation time in December and in one year it will be even better and more fun.

Whatever issues are there now, I still know the game will eventually be amazing. I've been insanely excited for this since the dev diaries started teasing us and, while it's not reached it yet, I can't wait for it to finally achieve that vision.

It's been a rough month but Stellaris is the best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing and it's only going to keep getting better. I've loved it since day one and no amount of temporary issues will change that. And that's just what these issues are - temporary.

Best of luck to Jamor and every other dev, and thank you all (Wiz included!) for not being afraid to make huge changes to the game this long after release. Your vision will be realized in time and I know I'll be eagerly awaiting it.

Jokes aside, there is always the possibility to turn bad things around. Just take a look at No Man's Sky. The devs went completely silent for a long time and then came out blasting with many updates in rapid succession which completely overhauled the game. In the eyes of many they redeemed themselves for the terrible launch of the game.

If the Paradox devs take a deep breath and focus on their work I am sure they can make the current version what it should have been and make Stellaris a better game.

Whoever did all the space graphics, also great job, even though zooming close enough to see that work tends to be useless.

The game has it's issues for sure, some more annoying than others, but I do like the current version more than previous ones.

Sure it's been a roller coaster, but since 2016 I've had the signed wallpaper that came with Stellaris as my desktop background and even today have no less than 3 separate games on the go and check every few days when the console release is coming.

The only game as a service model I support and keep coming back too. It's the best 4x game I've ever played. I keep finding new things (outside of free patches and dlc) after a playtime over 1k hours which is just amazing.

I was a bit hesitant leading up to 2.2 simply because it LOOKED really complicated but all things aside the base in place now had me consistently more engaged with the game than I've ever been.

Just checked: 1,531 hours played so far The game is great and has been really improving along the years. Devs have been working hard on delivering great content and fixing bugs coming with it.

Looking forward what they have in store for the game for the 2019.

I might be considered one of the more critical of the game as is, but let me be among the first to say this thread is a great idea, and that Stellaris has been a light in my life.
Really, while it may sound flat, my criticism is mostly because I love this damn game, and I really hope the best for it. The change to pops without tiles is inspired and will eventually be worth the wait when bugfixing and performance is put in place. I totally understand how difficult it must be to work with Clauswitz as well, as CK2, despite being a much older game, still lags terribly towards the end. I wish you the best of luck, and hope you enjoy working on the game as much as we enjoy playing it and looking forward to new features!

I find myself wanting to play Stellaris more than my other games. It's quite amazing to me, as I have had some very good experiences with other games. Just, right now, Stellaris is king.

My brother is all into Civ 5, and wants me to play it. But nah. Just doesn't do it for me.

I would like to thank the Devs for providing me with literally thousands of hours of entertainment. I am consistently surprised with the number of new ideas they come up with and are able to fit within the existing structure of the game. PDS is by far my favorite developer and I am always looking forward to whatever they come up with next.
