First things first, gotta cick Castille hard and fast. After annexing the weaker neighbours I set sail and thump Castille. I thought I could kill them, I thought wrong.

I PU Morocco and ensure that Granade is free from the Spanish. Scotland takes a little bite out of North Africa but some rebels take care of that.

Portugal was the next risk to knock out. Thanks to my foothold via Granada, I am able to get troops there quickly and win. I sit on them for many years to be able to vassalise them.

Castille kept fighting Granade and overwhelming me so I let them eat Granada. They got the mission "continue the Reconquista" so I landed almost every troop I had in Portugal for a fight to the death.

With Castille's claws trimmed it just became a waiting game

What I did was annexing tripoli and tunisia, so that I only had to deal with six revolts, and I claimed the throne on Algiers, after that I banged morocco BUT didn't take any provinces, I let Algiers take provinces.
Before making peace I supported patriots on 2 of 4 provinces and they defected to me.

I inherited Algiers with about one half of morocco AND cores, not everywhere though, I don't why.
Morocco ended up with two provinces that would cost me about 10 years more of westernization later, bad decision of mine.

Aww. Am I the only one who did it the easy way? I vassalised everything in arabia, eastern africa and the starting ottoman lands and even released syria. I had so much tech and fl that when it came time to take the rest of north africa I roflstomped castille with an army that had twice their numbers and better troops.

I sold Dayr Az Zor to Mus which became Timmies vassal, so they didn't bother me anymore because we didnt have the border. After that annexed Tripoli and Tunisia and then pu'ed Morocco and Algiers. All that by 1415. Castille never had any land in Africa and we fought only once when they dowed in about 1450, but I had more ships so they never landed and we eventually wp. I didnt bother with Arabia at all, just took grand army as third NI.

So basically, quite an easy challange for me. Most of the time on speed 5.

Heh, castille dowed the right away and had already occupied most of algiers and morocco in the first year or two, at that point I figured I let them do the rest and I'd take it all back in one war at the very end. After I took all my vassals I also engaged in a lot of thumb twiddling, interspersed by the occasional pillage of the natives for gold. I was going to go and discover all the world's coasts to do something, but I kept losing explorers to speed 5 sickness. I at least found japan first in the 1450's, but the scurrilous dogs in europe refused to accept my claim, not even after I westernised :sad:

In my game Castille was sieging Tunisian capital, but I luckily stormed other two provinces that dont have forts. So Castille only demanded some gold from them and after they peaced I annexed them. Dunno what happened to Morocco, but they had all their land when they became available for pu.

If I can make a request for the next challenge: Give a time limit (for example: a week) and judge the winners on something like fastest in-game time.

I don't know about everybody else but mon-friday I have very very little time for EU3.
