Not sure if this is more of a bug or an exploit, probably both.

I found a way to instantly teleport science ships to anywhere in the galaxy without the normal time delay of an Experimental Subspace Jump. Once you have access to the L-Gate star systems you can do this. Just have a space ship in any of the systems within the L-Gate cluster and then use the Experimental Subspace Jump to any star on the map, your ship will then instantly move there (takes a in-game day). You still have to move a science ship back into the L-Gate but it saves a lot of time doing this.

Use it while you can, unless it was intentional.

Same thing in my game but my other question is how the hell to equip my combat ships with the same Experiemental Subspace engine ? Is it another tech for the military ships ?

Nope. Pretty sure it requires the augmented sensors that allow science ships to scan planets. Fitting your military ships with them would be prohibitively expensive, as well as make the game impossible to balance.

What's the name of the other jump drive then ? I was not talking about the one that lets you teleport anywhere but the one with the special button above the ships.

You can use it without opening the L-Gate as well. There is a single system off the normal hyperlane network and accessible via wormhole that has a psionic entity in it. Experimental jumps to and from that system take a day.
