What mighty update could you expect from me ?
"Gegner panzer einheiten sind eingetroffen, volle deckung!" I shout to my comrades. Not even their armour can break our defences, well actually tank crews say that street fighting is a nightmare and dangerous. We open fire on individual targets while the machineguns suppress the enemy so they can't throw grenades at us. "Hans, get the panzerfausts out, we need to knock out their armour!" requests Johann-Georg, and then I cover them, by making myself the target rather than them. Now, our mortars open fire with their 60mm HE shells, which burst all around us. We need to keep our mouths open to enable the sound to effect the mouth and the ears equally so we don't go deaf. The americans are getting demoralized. "Give me one!" I order and then I fire on the Sherman tanks' turret. Direct Hit! It hits the ammunition and it explodes making an inferno of fire, while the turret jumps into the air, and then after the dust clears all we can see is a turretless tank burning.
Then, their tanks attempt to pull back and the infantry they have left get decimated, and they are annihiliated trying to retreat. I say that we put up fierce resistance, throwing back that assault. Once the enemy was either dead or had left our view, we had to reorganise our positions and then came the honours. Unfortunately, I didn't get a medal, but I guess it doesn't matter too much. No increase in rations for our efforts either, but I feel proud.
