Well, now I'm getting worried. It happened again.

It was 'better' than that, later in the stream, Japan joined the SCW on the side of the Axis :). To me, this suggests they've still got a bit of work to do balancing out Japan's diplomatic AI, so there may be less to worry about than meets the eye.

Well, I do hope so. But, to be honest, everything needs balance, so yeah, they'll surely revisit.

To be fair, the SCW seems to have taken the place of WWII in this playthrough, probably as a result of the AI not really doing much attacking. At 37:01 the SCW looks like it has hardly changed from what the starting conditions are (and it started at 12:56). So there is definitely AI work to be done.
