I am playing in 1940 JAPAN, done years ago dealing with CHI, now i have a lot of puppets and ally... all minor nations, but

i dowed Siam (the step before the world war)

i received 35 INF expeditionary division from all acrosso the puppet!!!
Most of them are useless, i want to return them back, i did so
the next days they returned me the units!!!
i cannot pay so much supplies! (i noticed it's my work to pay their soldiers while they are on an "expeditionary forces")
and think that i have no military control over these nations, i just want them to defend (from nobody, RUS is at peace and UK is far from many of them..)

i don't want their crap, i have well organized forces! And if i return their men, the next day they will re send me them back!!

how can i do? Thank for the advices! :eek:

Unfortunately, this happens a lot.
Just let them stay somewhere, they can just govern some useless frontline. As long as they stay inside the puppets border, you don't pay for them in any way.

My solution:

If you don't want exp forces from ally (for example Hungary) add in save file in:

country = {
tag = HUN

no_exp_forces_to = { NOR POL DEN CZE } <- and here place your country tag

They will send their exp forces to yours others allies - not for you. Excluding all exp forces at all: exp_force_ratio = 0.0000 is not good, becouse AI allied forces will be sitting at their own countries, not helping for others allied AI.

Funny thing is, I looked at this post yesterday and thought little of it. Then I continued my Italian game where WWII just kicked off, and by attacking from a previously annexed Spain, I occupied France by the start of December '39, and then the British Isles by mid-March the next year. I guess the German AI was so impressed that the next thing I knew, I was bombarded by pop-ups as it transfered almost 25% of the Heer to my control! :eek: :rofl:

If you have allied troops inside your borders, you pay their upkeep. If you have troops inside allied territory, they pay their upkeep, asuming they have supply and oil to pay with.

isn't it possible to change the current setup - so you can actually merge those exp forces from the same country. I really hate all this one div's clutter ... :mad: ;) :)

you can try to take mil control of them, merge their forces and then give the control back... sometimes they'll stay in the groups you made, sometimes they will revert back to the single group units.

In DD 1.1 ? Not true. At once as you get EXP force you pay for it - not matter where they are
and yours TC is going crazy. In hoi2 it was true, thats only inside your borders - but not in DD ....

Simple example: I'm in war with Persia. I am attacking from puppeted Turkey. So I am not on my territory. I got exp forces from Turkey and Greece (in Greece) and my all production is now supplies. So if I don't need them I change save file and they don't me send troops anymore.
