Hi all,

I send 48 expedition forces to Bulgaria, while he had only 10 units to defend himself vs 20-25 Greece units.

My units never got shown on the map, and Bulgaria lost all his provinces about 1 year later.

What did I do wrong? How can I support my allied players?

Please help,
Gizmo-12

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Some questions for you.
- What nation did you play as?
- Are you using Mods?
- Did you send them as expedition or volunteers?
- Could you not just send them there yourself?

Hey Evethor, thanks for your reply.

- I played as Germany.
- I use the Hearts of Iron 4 (Cadet Edition) Steam also shows: Anniversary Pack, Poland - United and ready, Rocket Laucher unit Pack, Wallpaper. It shows Battle of Bosborus on the starting screen and I do have the fan based add on with the historical correct models shown.
- I was at war, so I had to send them as expedition. I know I can't control them then, but I thought I should at least see them in numbers on the map.
- You mean walk directly through Austria, Hungary and Rumania? That might have worked, I didn't try.

Also I was in war with the allied forces, could it be that they destroyed all expedition forces before they arrived?

Expeditionary forces don't teleport. They simply switch owner, in exactly the same manner as yoinking troops from puppets.

You mean they just kept standing in my frontline but I just didn't get them listed as mine anymore?
So if I want to support my allies I have to first walk the units to their frontline and then send them as expedition, so they control them further?

Yes - at which point it's usually better to control them yourself if you want to do the micro.
