There is no currently known set date for Expansion Pass 3

The "hope" is that they will get it to us before the end of the year
Whether that will happen or not is up in the air

The reason for hope is mainly because they got a lot of fan backlash over the lack of information concerning Expansion Pass 2 for the longest time and many fans were clamoring for anything regarding it; so they are trying to not let that happen again

that's because they took the summer off of dev diaries

i don't remember when they said it, but i'm pretty sure it was said on their twitter account that they'd be going dark for most of the summer

also the gap between what we are experiencing now and what happened after Utopia is very different
back then we didn't even really get dev diaries for the console version, it basically felt like we were being left in the dirt

they said they want to get console caught up to the pc version
you have to keep in mind though, that takes time

we got the first big change when we went from 1.7 to 2.2.7

we shouldn't really see another big change until we get around to Federations; which would be Expansion Pass 4

Just even saying what bugs or next patch might be like would be nice.

Paradox is the developer of Stellaris
Tantalus is the Publisher for the Console Version

and i'm not sure they can share anything with the ok from Paradox

Given that Australia is currently dealing with a covid-19 2nd wave i don't think Tantalus will be doing much developing atm.

well i mean covid was present when we got the expansion pass 2 (though still somewhat early)

so i would assume by now they are working from home
