Hi!

After having some rebel issues in previous games, I decided to play a game where I only expanded into cores. I'm mot done yet, so I don't know how my nation will look in the end, but so far I've gotten 9 provinces for 0.0 infamy. It's a slow way to expand, but you'll get insta-useful provinces which are much less prone to revolt and it keeps your infamy low. In peace deals, I've started to allow myself to take a province which are not cored if it borders 5 other nations, like in northern Italy/central Europe. I don't mind if it's not connected to the rest of my empire, I'm doing it only for a chance at the Border Dispute event. So do anyone play like this? I'm very interested to hear how far you can go with this method. Things that affect the BD event in a positive manner is your King's admin stats I believe. Negatve is infamy. Also, are some nations more prone to getting this event than others?

Thanks.

If you haven't you should check out the The Historic Inevitabilty of Epic Failure thread in the AAR. Prawnstar is easily finishing a world conquest where he never goes over the infamy limit. Needless to say you might see some strategies that would help you.
