CSII-Release_Roadmap_Copy-1920x30.jpg

To our Ultimate Edition Buyers,

In light of our commitment to improve the game performance and to prioritize the mods editor availability, there have been adjustments made to the Expansion Pass post-launch content timeline.

You can find a detailed explanation in Colossal Order’s weekly Word of the Week development update that you can read here - https://bit.ly/WordofTheWeek4

This decision to delay certain content releases has been made as we are focusing on improving the game's performance, in line with what has already been done over the past weeks.

CSII-Release_Roadmap-1920x1080.jpg

Beach Properties Asset Pack is planned for release in Q1 of 2024 along with Deluxe Relax Radio Station.

I guess the answer to your question ist the last sentence of original post. You can buy the Expansion Pass separately when the first DLC of it has been released.

“It is included in the Ultimate Edition at a discounted price.” I thought if you bought the ultimate pack prior to game release got them DLC’s for free, that was my understanding

The postponement of content for Ultimate Edition customers is legitimate. However, I would like to point out that I take a very critical view of the approach.
You have stuck to releasing the game in a poor state. It would be implausible to claim that you didn't know about all the bugs and errors in the game on the release date.

So to deliberately advertise the product with content that is highly unlikely to be delivered as planned is outrageous.

For this reason and the many bugs, an immature simulation, poor performance, too little content, the postponement of the editor and modding, I feel betrayed by you as a customer.

For me, you have lost credibility as a developer and the good reputation you have built up over the years. There is just more and more coming together and I just don't enjoy the game anymore. And that's a real shame. I was looking forward to this game so much. For me, it's the next big disappointment in the gaming industry.

beach? can you guys fix/add:
- the water physic first so we can make waterfall...
- and proper road entrance tunnel on cliff (shape still glitch)
- add concrete terrain textures to spray/paint instead grass texture around industrial area
- can disable day/night but can't disable season option, (hate snow when zoning can't see white terrain)
and remove covered snow on running car
- give us new feature generated random map so we can have own unique map
- give us also stones not only trees for modification terrain
- staricase generated when making pedestrian path on height
- add park district for custom park... only few and limited square shape default park stocks
- fix broken node because sometimes all vehicles getting bug on it
- and fix the rest bugs you get from our feedback

and please compress and optimize the game...

I'm guessing peoples' expectations for CS2 is they basically wanted an improved CS1 with all the mod support already baked in, which is just about impossible to do out of the box.

CS2 does have its issues and they are being addressed, but at the same time CS1 was never a great performer (in game play/graphics performance-it didn't run at 60 FPS) IMO...even though its a 2015 release. I a fairly high end PC (Ryzen 9 7900X and a Radeon 7900XTX with 32GB Ram) and CS1 never ran that "great" on it. I get decent performance with CS2 (30-60 FPS) now with the only issue being a stutter when its autosaving the game, even though I have nothing but SSDs in the system.

The only thing I read is that additional assets won't be available for another 4+ months and it's enough for me to shelve this game for later. Thanks for your delayed honesty about the actual progress of your product.

Well said. I fully support the focus on fixing the base game, but it feels highly disingenuous to have sold the Ultimate Edition when you knew the timeline was not realistic. Some additional assets as a sign of good faith would be very meaningful.

Regarding seasons. Just choose a different map that's not in a snowy area or gets less snow. However, a future option to choose your latitude before starting the map would be nice if you like the map but not the tempatures it gets.

Great, please also remove some fail-safes in the simulation and introduce a 'hard mode'. My current city is full of traffic jams (50% traffic), but besides a flattery of icons around the map, I'm not even taking a financial hit.

That is what it means, you paid for the ultimate Edition to get the Pass for cheaper than those who pay in Q1
My understanding of it is the expansion pass would include the first DLC and the next lot of content that will go up later in the year. That would result in the ultimate edition owners getting it cheaper as they have already paid for half of the DLC already

Does this mean that we should expect console in Q1? You did say DLCs would not release until console was released. And since console is pushed to spring 2024 does this mean we are looking at late March?
