Will the second expansion pack contain around the same amount of content as the first one (around four expansions)?
I guess it's highly doubtable that there will be a second expansion pack at all.
We'll see what happens in the future. We've learned a lot from this pilot project at least.
You deserve all the credit in the world for not making the customer pay for your mistakes. Instead, how you guys decided to grant us 2 free DLC to make up for it is truly unique and wonderful.

Though Paradox does deserve all the applause for not fooling their customers ... you can't say that the 2 extra DLCs they are providing is actually "free" if you go by the amount we paid for the pass and the content of the 4 DLCs. The credit deserved by Paradox is for accepting that the expansion pass asking price wasn't justified in the amount of content that they delivered in the first 2 DLCs. Any other developer would have just short changed their customers in such a scenario.
As a chinese player, I have a suggestion that

Well, they are free. That said, the first 2 DLC weren't worth the asking price. I think though that almost everyone would have been happy to get the Tiger expansion for free as a compensation. Tiger + 2 relatively poor DLC = sufficient value. They didn't need to throw another free DLC on top of that to make customers happy.
To summarize: they made a huge mistake with the first 2 DLC and more than compensated for it by giving us 2 free DLC. That's why I'm very happy with PDS right now.
PS: Compare the 40 bucks expansion pass for 4 DLC with Civ 6's 30 buck expansion...
Yes, but still 50 over base game. And wasn'tit 50 too that it was sold for when sold separately? And anyway then I'm pretty sure the FM sales text stated it was worth 50€ of expansions.
I bought the expansion pass when the first DLC was published and I paid 40€ (just checked that via Steam purchase history). I had the cheapest version of base HoI4, bought it on release at GmG for little over 30€.
And yes, the expansion pass description said something about 50€ worth. Why would anyone buy the pass for 50€ if its worth is declared to be no more than that? You buy such passes hoping to save money.
That's a good point. And I preordered Field Marshall so I only know that it was included in those 90€ I paid and that the description said it was 50€ of expansions.
If you decide not to release another expansion pass in advance, I would like to request keeping them around as retroactive bundles to organize content in a more affordable / less intimidating way for newcomers.
"Buy expansion pass one and two on sale" would help deal with the psychological barrier of 7 expansion DLCs, Imo.
EDIT: I do own it but I also do not own it Steam has me not owning it on both the HoI main page & the WtT page however when I open the game and check the launcher menu it lists it as owned and installed.
Please resolve this issue to avoid future pricing conflicts on Steam.
Example: I passed on the 5th DLC but mb a few sprite/music packs come out that I want so I go for the discounted complete your collection bundled price. However Steam won't give me that discounts unless I'd rebuy WtT (as part of that bundle) since it says I don't own it.

This sounds really odd. I have not heard anyone report anything similar. Try completely restarting Steam etc, and open a ticket through support.paradoxplaza.com if the problem persists so that we can look into it further.
This was a great idea from paradox. Wasn't going to get this expansion, don't have the money with all the good games coming this year (looking at you battletech). Totally forgot i purchased the expansion pack dlc, very pleasantly surprised. Thank You
BTW If you decide to sell season passes like for $60 in the future for $80 worth of DLC over the course of 2-3 years, I'm fine with that kickstarter-esque model.
I felt I have gotten my money's worth buying the top tier back at release as far as my investment goes.
Not to give you any ideas, but since I've played HoI4 for 1100+ hours thus far, I would have gladly paid 200 € and probably even a lot more.
Paradox has one problem: usually the base game + the free patches are so good that the DLC/expansions can only disappoint compared to that. If you pay 40 bucks for base game and tons of free patches, then it's a tough sell to pay 10-20 bucks for each DLC that offers only a fraction of that. In that sense, WtT was the first really content strong expansion (however, if the free content is deducted even WtT doesn't shine as bright anymore).
