Is there a possibility to add option for your colonies to expand only in range of colonial nations? I dont understand why this mechanic hasnt been implemented yet, it seems weird to me why I, as overlord, have no say over the limits and boundaries of my colonies expansion. Also, I dont understand why they can declare war on onther colonial nations or natives without first at least asking for my permission. I dont recall many colonies in history starting their own wars without approval from the metropoly. Unrestricted colonial expansion is simply irritating, especially when they colonize provinces you want to be colonized by your other colonial nations. Is there any reason why Paradox doesnt give us this simple option to control your colonies expansion? Maybe its technical or they already answered this concern?

I agree with this. CN should be restricted to its colonial region and its overlord should have saying which provinces cn can colonize. And for the rest of the subjects (Vasals, Marches, CN etc.) i would like that overlord nation have saying which ideas your subject picks, moving their capital and spreading their main culture thru their land. If you can all ready do religious conversion i don't see what's the big deal with spreading their culture in their own land.

Historically, colonial subjects tended not to like being restricted in their expansion. In US History, the British Proclamation of 1763 banning expansion west of the Appalacians was one of the first sparks that would eventually ignite the fire of the War of American Independence. I think these restrictions would be good as a subject interaction, but one that increases liberty desire as historically happened.

On that i definitely agree. If you forbid CN to colonise outside its colonial region LD should take hit making colony going towards independence.
