Ha, i surely hope this is not just some wishful hoping. Transportation could definitely be more CiM-like. At the very least, there should be ferries. Trams&ferries were the most missed transport options missed in the original game. Trams are done, onto the next one!

A bit vague, I thought we would hear something from here first. I hope its not just a case of adding zeros on to the cost of stuff or some novelty thing what kills off your people every once in a while. It needs more city sim depth. Hopefully thats what this means.

More transport features, theres a surprise. It should be called a transport sim. Ive been playing transport fever which is a better transport sim imo.

Hopefully (if this is true) the main focus of this expansion is the economic aspect of the game and that it provides an overhaul to commercial and industrial developments and that new transportation options are just a part of the overall package- similar in a sense to the After Dark DLC, where the main feature were the night time elements and leisure developments and new transportation options were provided as an nice addition

This is exciting...if true. I hope it includes more bridge styles...even SimCity 4 had multiple choices from the beginning. o_O And a single four-lane highway would be nice too! It's such pain drawing out two highways each direction every time. I know there are mods, but we all know those can be tricky for a lot of us who don't have high-end computers...and from what I've heard even for those who do!

Yes. A tool that allowed the creation of both sides of a divided highway at the same time would be ideal. Still have an option to do them as they are now too, for the times you may wish them to follow slightly different paths though.

Yes...I wouldn't want to get rid of any of the roads they already have.

They definitely need to look at industry, resources and how the whole thing works and links together and effects the city. It looked rushed at release and they havent touched it since.

The simulation bit seems to have taken a backseat while the cosmetics and novelty took over. There needs to be a direct link between jobs and wealth, offices need to do something other than being a prettier industry. A city doesnt just build dirty industry till it gets to a certain size to unlock offices then bulldozes it all and turns it into offices like its exactly the same. You should need to build slowly, need to exploit resources, develop into a prospourous city.

Stuff should require demand, that may sound stupid to say in a city builder, but you can basically do what you please in this, build what you want, you pick and chose how rich to make your sims just by surrounding them in services, its harder to make poor sims than mega rich, even if theres unemployment coming out of your eyeballs, youve done everything you can wrong, the only jobs are working in a carwash and every other real city would be a haven for criminals and graffiti everywhere, your city is a forest of shining towers of pristine glass buildings and a paradise of top level skyscarpers and mansions.

RCI shouldnt be just decoration, ignore it if you want. Having no suitable jobs but plenty of services around your res shouldnt attract top level res. It shouldnt be a case of just building anything you want and fast forwarding time to watch it turn into top wealth whatever. In simcity 4 low wealth jobs created a demand for low wealth sims and high wealth jobs high wealth sims. In this all sims are whatever you want them to be. You turn them into whatever you want them to be. There is no wealth classes.

If they made the AI better there wouldnt be the need for 1,000s of transport options. People want more and more transport options not realising its as a work around to try and get smarter better working transport. How come they cant work a roundabout? Its pre made option to build roundabouts yet they dont work. Been that way since launch.

I feel it's more like the AI is given too many options in certain situations, such as allowing to drive straight on every lane on a six-lane two way road, or allowing to choose multiple lanes while turning. Stricter lane rules in intersections would mean less back-ups on a single lane, and less congestion caused by too many vehicles choosing the same lane too early. This is essentially what the third-party lane connector tool was made to remedy.

No major complaints about roundabouts, except the stock small roundabout is actually too small in diameter. In my opinion it's a shortcoming in road design or zoning balance if roundabouts don't work, for the most part.

Is this even legit? I still haven't see any other reports on this anywhere.

But it will be nice if they add road mods to the game. They seem to break the game on update day. It would be nice to eliminate this excessive crashes.

As it has been mentioned in the other thread:

It seems there are some rumours going around that the next expansion we are working on is traffic related. I want to make it clear for everyone that we are not doing an overhaul of traffic AI for Cities: Skylines. Most of you know this as I have said it multiple times, but just to make it clear I want to cut the wings of this bird immediately so no further disappointment is caused. Remember to trust only reliable sources and wait for more information before drawing conclusions. We'll reveal everything in due time.

It's a bummer that there won't be fixes for the AI, but at least I never expected it. "Traffic features" can mean almost anything.

I tried searching too but found nothing at the time. No idea where that site got their info. (Paradox's marketing...?)
