Excuse me , but you can't tell me that when paradox release a demo to one off the most modable games in the world , that they are not think that someone try to mod("hack") the demo.
Maybe they have even bets running how much the fans will mod the demo.
It may also useful to find some more bugs, as G'Kar and I found one with our naval stuff

Agh, I can't make a Nuclear attack!

I gave Germany a strategic bomber, and I used the cheat "nuke" (yes, the old cheats work, including "event 1 -> 30") and I loaded the bomb on, and I clicked on a province... and it came up in the selection box thing "None"

:( I wanted to nuke Paris!! :p

You have to add tech no. 7170 in your techapps to be able to drop nukes.

You evil, evil man. Perhaps the option isn't present in the demo, simply because you shouldn't be using nukes in the Ardennes offensive.

Good luck modding it though, kick the allies out of the now-irradiated continent.

OH YEA! That was fun...

I thought techs would have been the problem after my third failure... but I was too lazy to find out...

hehe... fun...

Also, I've added a full Germany, eh... what seems to be Poland... although a bit messed up, since the province names aren't in the "province" file anymore, only eg. 34 Latvia, Poland, lots of numbers etc... so I just searched "Poland" and I got... well, not a full Poland. I'm trying to create two fronts, give Part of Russia to Germany, the other part to America, give them forces there... but it'll be a bit of work, and when I unlock the camera position, it crashes. Is there anyway to fix that?

I also allowed Ireland to be seen... hehehe 7 provinces? great!. I will be adding the Danish provinces to Germany soon, then I will add the rest of France... then I will add Italy, the North as German and the South as American of course!. Then I will add Austria and Czechslovakia and Hungary, Latvia etc.. as Germany. Then Finland and Norway. Give them some troops, and see how it turnes out. Oh and not to forget adding in England as America too, giving them planes and ships.


Although, this all depends on if I can unlock the camera position without it crashing (or atleast make it bigger so I can fit in W. Russia!). It'll take some time though... and I'm a lazy guy (well I am Irish - we are very very lazy... hehehe - By the way Mr. G 24, I liked that Irish AAR lol)


I have a long time until Feb 17th!

What do you mean about the camera position? In the scenario .eug file you just comment out the coordinates.

Ok... so I have gotten rid of those pesky co-ordinates now, thank God it didn't crash this time. My next problem will be, Russia. How do I know which provinces should be American and which should be German?
As I have said above, the province names aren't in the province file. They are sorted by area and country. So... Well, maybe if Belorussia and (I know) Ukraine are there, I can give those two to Germany, but then the rest... I am clueless...

Meh, I will figure this out when I get to it...
For now I am on a break for the next while.

You can find the relation between names and numbers in /config/province_names.csv or you can use the "showid" cheat ingame.
