IIRC we were promised there won't be a mutants like Gausscat in HBS Battletech. AFAIK, CPLT-K2 was the main heavy Energy Platform of House Kurita. Not a Ballistic or Missile one, but ENERGY. I'm really sorry if i sound rude, but honestly, i'm very mad on this situation.

I'm not familiar with MWO, so maybe I don't get what the problem is.

But as far as I'm informed, there wont be any +, or ++ weapons in PvP.

So, is this really a problem?

Or any Star League tech.
Honestly, in single player, I don’t care how you modify your mechs. And As long as everyone is on the same page during PVP, I really don’t care there either.

I am a fan of stock builds, so I’ll use those.

I’ll spare you my rant against MWO for now.

If it has the hardpoints, and you have the slots and the tonnage then you can run whatever you have available.

By the way, nothing says you have to run non-stock builds and you can always play stock only PvP.

To echo the others, I'm not sure what the problem is.
Also, since it's possible on tabletop..... whilst not as aggressively vocal about it, I would have preferred the "free for all" modification of TT, but we have what we have.

May you please elaborate "why" you are very mad?

You can evade any non-stock PVP if you care about it. As far as we know, there are no non-stock enemies in campaign mode. And as far i know, there is no rule that prevents you from playing stock only.

So why are you mad? I dont understand why you are mad about something optional, that other players may enjoy and gives them reason to engage more with the game.

Think the problem is he loves the "energy sniper mech" idea (like I do), but our streamer gets "forced" into ballistics due to crazy heat issues. He had 10 heatsinks, 2 PPC and a couple lasers. And he could only use one PPC most of the time due to heat.
Personally I know I'll find a workaround. It must work! That K2 is part of the grand plan!

Why would a mercenary care about how Kurita uses a mech? If it has legs and you can strap a couple guns to it, that's good enough for most mercs.

In that case, Probably best bet is to add heat sinks.

pretty sure he meant 10 additional HS for a total of 20 o_O

... just checked, 21 total HS, 2PPC and 2ML.

LL and PPC are just too damn hot :(
What do you need the 2 Mlas's for though. Swap em for heat sinks for a bit more Zorch, Zorch.
By looking at the tonnage it appears he unecessarily up armored it. Wasted weight better used for sinks IMHO.

That's why the first .json edit I'm making is lowering the heat of the PPC and LL to 30 and 25 respectively.
