Excommunication

This has probably been asked thousands of time...I apologize for that. It's just I couldn't find a thread explaining how to revert an excommunication.

I'm playing 1066's England, and due to my scepticism, I got an event from the Pope...I rebated the argument, so he excommunicated me. What can I do to undo this?

You'll have to wait for an event to clear it.

The higher your piety, the bigger the chance. Crusading, or having a good chaplain, can also help. You will have to pay though.

If you have DV, befriending the pope also helps.
