Hi,
First, I tried to revoke excommunication from King of Norway, but it didn't work, google directed me to DV patch 2.1 beta, and indeed, with this patch it is fixed, however:
I have CK and DV both (from impulse), on the title screen it said it was version 2.0.
Prestige cost to excommunicate King of Poland was 201 and 358 for King of Sweden.
In version 2.1 beta it is 100 for King of Poland and 192 for King of Sweden, fairly close to half the amount, which is a rather drastic decrease in cost.
Is this the way it's supposed to be?
I read through the patch changelog, Here, but it didn't mention this cost reduction.
Also, in 2.0 when I click excommunicate with either king selected, I get an overview of the entire court, while in 2.1 beta, I only get a "list" of selected character.
In 2.1 beta, how are you supposed to excommunicate someone doesn't hold land?
Unless of course, you aren't supposed to be able to, though I don't see why not.
Lastly, I'm pretty new to the game (a few days), so there might just be something I've missed.
P.S.
The game rocks.
Edit:
I found the answer to the excommunication of courtiers:
Also, I noticed that the supply limit of all my provinces were many times higher than in version 2.0 (four times, to be exact), I didn't know before what supply limit actually did, now I do, and while the increase is mentioned in the changelog, now when you hover the mouse over the supply limit number, the math sadly doesn't add up.
I wish there was a line that explained that since the province is yours, and you get a multiplier of four.
I haven't tested, but;

This makes sense.WAD.
In earliar patches you could excommunicate anybody, but that was easily exploited. Excomed people can't inherit, so if the PC was 20 in line for a throne he could become first with a few mouse clicks.

I haven't tested, but;
does this count for allied provinces too?"- There is now higher threshold before attrition in friendly territory."
