I think what he meant was that in CIM1 monorails could go in both directions on the same track. When the track was occupied by vehicle going north the one going south was standing at the station waiting for the track to vacate. This would add some novelty to CIM2 but the monorails will be only one way on one track, which doesn't mean you cannot build two opposite one-way tracks together.
Yes I liked that way. But the majority of player complained so I think they decided to do it differently this time.
They main reason for this decision possibly was that it was simply easier to just take the metro-tracks and redesign them instead of building a whole new transportation system.
Damn. They could have included both options for more interesting play, making double tracks much more expensive. Another missed opportunity if you ask me!
