GG release their games in the morning here while Steam does it in the evening. Sometimes this means that GG-buyers get to play the game for an entire day before Steam-buyers.

Yeah I think you only get a key from GG and still need to download from Steam.

I know GG has a Steam-key, but it has happened that these keys from GG allowed you to activate and play the game before it was released on Steam proper.
