I mean, I'm also more interested in Stellaris than Hearts of Iron 4, but I've never been able to get into HoI. (Not that I don't want to! I just straight up don't get it is all.)

For me, it's not like there aren't other games coming out in the meantime...Xcom 2's in just a month, if you have any interest in that kind of strategy game. In general, just stay strong and play space-y games to ease the pain.

I wouldn't mind more information, though. A dev diary every week is cool, but I want to know even more.

Tbh it seems to be a wasted opportunity for me (to ask a question) - I lost Q1 release delusions long time ago along with (I hope) majority of this forum, it seemed fairly obvious to me they won't suddenly start and end beta in 3 months remaining.

The real question an the main delusion is, can Stellaris be released in Q2

Judging by HOI3, they use war game icons and various other stuff.... so it's basically a WWII board type war game, and that's one of the top 3 most difficult game types. Partially due to the human number crunching involved.

There's plenty of old anime for me to watch, so I'm not worried. Also, Tai Chi chuan and internal neijia is not going to finish by themselves.

I like it for the multiplayer solely, having relatively uninvolved powers like Sweden, Norway and Finland combine their forces into a faction called the Northern Lights is entertaining. Plus trying to influence the USA to become Fascist or Communist is also fun. I think I'll enjoy Stellaris more though.
