is rome gonna be like EU3 when it was 1st released in regards to how few events there were?

the MM mod has done so much for EU3 im just wonderin if the game will be more like rome or similar to MM. im guessin we'l have to wait until maybe a similar mod to MM is released as i found vanilla EU3 very dry and uneventful (pardon the pun)

or maybe due to the time period less events wont be a problem as there will be lots of wars, civils and political stuff goin on to keep people occupied

maybe someone who has beta tested rome could answer

No beta-testers would even dare to answer your questions due to NDA.

I am sure it will be just like EU3 with events but at least in Rome, there are much less history that needed to be followed. The period was chosen where there are several nations which are capable of having great empire just like Rome. Who know, maybe sometime, Rome itself will be destroyed.

As for civil war, it been mentioned that your nation acutally get divided up and it does not end until one state is utterly destroyed. To be frank, I expecting to enjoy Rome far more than EU3.

EU isn't all war. There is so many things to do in EU3 that one couldn't be bored (unless you decided to play Incans ). This time is turbolent, not only by wars, but by other things too. That is why events will be so much more important. If you look at the AARs you can see, whether it is in the message box, or a actual screenshot of the event itself, that they are numerous.

I believe that Rome is going to have much more character driven events, like those of CK. Even as there are no historical events I do anticipate that Rome has much more flavour in it than EU3 had.

yeah thats exactly my point and that why MM makes EU3 much more interesting to play. hopefully the time period rome is set in will make it a much more hands on game with more stuff to do, unlike the EU series which can at times feel like your merely observing the game and not playin it.

Actually i was surprised when i purchased EU3 some months ago to find that there actual are quite a few historical events in the game contrary to what i had been led to believe. Though they all seem to be about internal events in a nation, no foreign policy dictations.
