I'm having problems with my Event Texts.

For some reason when the events fire and there is nothing wrong with them yet the text that comes with them is messed up. Most of the time, The EVT_NAME doesn't work, When the EVT_DESC does, And sometimes the ACTIONNAME works, But on others it does not :confused:

It's totally messed up for some reason, And I cannot work out whats going wrong. I know that you need to close down Victoria and start it back up for it to take effect, But even after 10 restarts, It doesn't change one bit :mad:

Could it do with the ending of the line? Does it matter about how many ;;; before the x you have in the line?

I had this problem before as well... it happened when I editted the event_text.csv file in the 'config' folder. It's best to not mess about with those texts... they just seem to be a bit strange... don't know if they are hardcoded into the game or something??

If you want to type something in that is new... then go to the actual event (db\events\filename) and where it says name = "EVT_26500_DESC" or whatever in that event... just type what you want in between the apostrophes:

name = "Like this"
desc = "...and this"

The same applies for the names of the actions:

action_a = {
name = "OK"
command = { type = trigger which = XXXX }
}

If you haven't messed about with the excel files... then I am not sure as to what it is really?
