When playing HoI2 it was possible for the USA to liberate Iceland after you gained them when denmark fell.
But so far I haven't been able to do this in DD, nor does there appear to be an event that does liberate Iceland (Iceland declared it self independent in June 1944) and woulden't Greenland automatically be returned to Denmark when germany surrenders and (if) denmark is liberated by the allies?
Also, there should be an event for ending the civil war in China (if there is one I haven't seen it yet).
1949 Nat.China surrendered to Com.China but formed the "Republic of China" (Remember that Com.China is "People's Republic of China", so don't confuse thouse two names) on Taiwan instead of getting compleatly annexed by the communists , would be nice with an event like this (it's highly unlikely that the AI Com.China would even send troops to Taiwan)
As for diplomatic options, I have already pointed out that an option for returning occupied provinces (to counties you are not in war with) would be nice in another thread.
But something that would be nice would be to be able to put a trade embargo on a nation (If I play the U.S I don't wanna aid Germany and Japan when the risk of me ending up in war with them is rather large) Of course this embargo would only stop the trade AI from recieving trade sudgestions from that nation as well as stop it from offering trade to them. (this should only affect the automated trade option since you can handle it manually, but when playing a major power the number of trade sudgestions you get per day can get annoying and you leave it to the AI to deside.
Finally there is one more thing (I might be a bit over realistic with this one), but it would be nice if canals (Panama, Suez) would be able to take damage, like if it was an airfield or harbour. Damage taken would slow ships moving thru them to a compleat stop if it reach zero (would be repaired like normal stuff). Came to think about this since the japanese at te end of the war was about to launch a attack on the Panama channel (with the special sentoku submarines that could carry bomber planes).
