My event-fu is weak, which is why I am completely unable to operate the modding system - whenever I tried to create this series of events in the old HoI2, it invariably made the install explode and caused planes to fall from the sky, which is why I think it's better if I enlist some skilled aid.

If someone would be kind enough to translate the following sequence into an event to save into the vanilla Austria.txt file, that would be grand!

#DRANG NACH OSTEN - UNGARN#

Conditions:

-Austria IS member of Axis
-Austria IS at peace
-Hungary IS NOT member of Axis

'After signing the Alliance of Steel with Germany, Seyss-Inquart saught to strengthen his position with his larger ally and secured support from Hitler to invade Hungary, supposedly to save 'German ex-patriates'. While most of the Austrian public were not pleased with the development, the Austrian Army marched to war. Mussolini used his position to block the invasion unless he was granted a favour by the Axis - the famed 'Auslander-divisionen'.

Effects:

-War with Hungary
-Add cores on all provinces owned by Hungary
-Dissent raised by 5
-Italy joins Axis
-Germany -2000 supplies
-Italy recieves two 1939 mechanized infantry divisions, 'Auslander-division-1' and 'Auslander-division-2'.

#DRANG NACH OSTEN - YUGOSLAVIA#

Conditions:

-Axis is at war with Allies
-Date is at least September 1939
-Dissent <5

'After war broke out, Seyss-Inquart struck again, this time proclaiming that Austria deserved the return of the Balkan states for her coming sacrifices in the war. Italy would recieve the areas she had claimed while Austria would recieve the rest of Yugoslavia. In return, Schuschnigg supplied the German Army with a large quantity of ammunition and fuel.'

Effects:

-Austria gains cores on provinces not claimed by Italy
-Austria loses 3000 supplies and 1000 oil.
-Germany gains 3000 supplies and 1000 oil.

#HUNGARIAN DEMANDS FOR TRANSYLVANIA#

(This one would be much simpler, just switch the decision to Austria so that the provinces demanded by Hungary in vanilla from Romania are demanded by Austria instead.)

EDIT:

Would it also be possible to remove the conditions for the Sudetenland events that require the Anschluss to have occurred, i.e. the '150 days since Anschluss' and the requirement for soldiers in Austrian provinces bordering czechoslovakia?

i think that some of the effects are off. Cores shouldn't be given liberally, the people in Hungary and Yugoslavia would see the return of the Austrian empire and want to reject it after the troubles of the19th and early 20th centuries.... Plus to give Mec divs it should take more than 2000 supplies. This could make and interesting Homeland style mod though... (Homeland isn't released yet but poses the same unrealistic but plausible scenario)

Beyond the implausibility of the events, What do you mean by vanilla here? I'm unsure if you mean HoI 2, DH or DH full. At first seem that you are talking about DH normal, but then you talk about decisions, so get me confused. There is a big difference in the ID of those provinces, so it's important. For example, your first request in DH full:

Yugoslavia is too big for me to do the 2 options. And it doesn't exist a mechanized division from 1939, the first one is from 1941

Motorised division with an armoured car attachment might make more sense?

Plus to give Mec divs it should take more than 2000 supplies
Mechanised division: 15 ic x 345 days = 5175 ic days
Motorised division: 14 ic x 315 days = 4410 ic days
Armoured car: 3 ic x 133 days = 399 ic days
1000 supplies: 0.25 ic x 1000 days = 250 ic days
