Hello to all, I am here to announce something your feature-hungry people have been clamoring for forever. That being, Event Packs. These are essentially mods which adds many events, traits, event chains, and decisions to improve a player's immersive experience in Crusader Kings 2.

Also, I am wanting to clear something up. This is NOT my project, it is the combined efforts of many different modders working towards a shared goal, a more immersive Crusader Kings 2. Anyone who creates an Event Pack (It can be from just one trait to something one the scale of VIET) just makes a post similar to my mod ones (Description and Download), and I will link and credit you to it in this main post.

Features

  • Literacy Trait and Philosopher Lifestyle Trait
  • Before a reformation event can happen, the Printing Press must be invented
  • Events for child baptism
  • The pope can choose to allow corrupt practices if he has specific traits, such decisions are nepotism (Has focus family or Charitable trait), simony (greedy and arbitrary), usury (greedy and arbitrary), pluralism (mystic or cyncial), and indulgences(greedy and cruel).
  • The events above have a ten year cool down limit between each thing happening. Each will bring down MA by 7 percent, and once each of events above have fired...
  • There will be a a Reformation event, where M.L. goes to a kingdom where the ruler has bad relations the pope. There, he will start to print bibles for the peasants and spread the idea. Evantually, people will morph hi words ad rise up in revolt as heresies.
  • Events such as the printing of the common-tongue bible, the first province to convert to Lutheran, and the rise of different heresies can affect religion's MA
  • New heresies of Lutheran can be Anabaptism, Munsterian, Calvinism, Zwinglian, and Hussite
    *Anabaptism: Can choose to baptise later in life and Can choose to swear off violence (disallows the starting of wars and leading troops)
    *Munsterian: Experiences the Munster Storyline, can have prophets arise and take power, polygamy allowed (up to five wives)
    *Calvinism: Can choose between being a five point or four point Calvinist, unable to demand conversion or proselytize, there is to be no governments so vassal limit is very restricted to prevent large realms, can declare holy wars on other Christians, all characters must have atleast one negative trait
    *Zwinglian: Crown authority is limited to low and it costs massive piety loss to raise it, unable to make people monks (Zwingli smashed monasteries), gains tax from catholic provinces (taxes on church and fish)
    *Hussite:
  • A protestant ruler gains tax from his bishops, but is subject to holy war by zealous Catholics
  • Each protestant independent ruler has an opportunity to set up a national church. Having a national church increases conversion and taxation rates, but causes bad relations with Christian rulers of other religion

Define "later on"? Like do you mean if one marriage she had the virgin trait? If so, try this.

Basically I need to go back 3-4 generations at the least and check if the mother was a virgin before marriage due to genealogy laws for priests with the mandaens

Well maybe some competition will help jog the team's creativity :p Anyways, you can port them over to anything so long as credits are given to the maker of each respective Pack, I don't plan on making all of them. Also, news flash. I'm putting the finishing touches on the Maiden one (basically just making the events more interesting), have maybe twenty percent of Literacy, and have only minimal work done on Viva. In case anyone's interested, once I finish the first two I'll start working on one that adds events for each culture about their mythical creatures. Future plans also include more events for ambitions and general court stuff.

Could you maybe make a culture event pack? Here's what it would contain:
  • Artist, Musician, and Patron/Matron of the Arts traits
  • Court Artist honorary title
  • Events to gain the traits (which count as hobbies)
  • Getting Artist and Musician would be similar to the way you get Poet - at first you have the Aspiring Poet modifier, then you get the Poet trait if you pick the right decision in an event a little while later.
  • To get Patron/Matron of the Arts, you need to have a certain amount of Learning, Diplomacy, and Stewardship; at some point an event will fire and you can choose to become one
  • Events that add flavor to the traits - your artwork/music is noticed by your liege, who is a Patron or Matron, and he/she gives you the Court Musician/Artist honorary title
You could add more to this if you think of something that would fit perfectly. This is basically the concept for a Culture focus that I really think should have been added in WoL.

Interesting ideas, and Anguished is right, will be added to the to-do list. A few ideas I had for this is maybe the chance of a Leonardo Da Vinci type person event chain popping up, and he can make paintings for you. Once he is finished, you can sell it for a lot of gold, or keep it in the family for increased monthly prestige. It would kinda work like those holy chalice events. You can choose to sell it, but that would end up being a loss of prestige. Maybe It could also give piety if it's a religious painting? On that thought, maybe the pope could try and buy it from you or something. As to your culture focus thing, I would love to have that, but I don't know how to add focuses. Any ideas anyone? If not, I think I will just replace one of the learning ones. Actually, maybe it could be an ambition. Anybody who has thoughts or ideas on how to do this stuff, please reply so I can know how to proceed with this.

It is out of timeframe, but I just wanted to do it. I will make it happen after 1350 at least, no Protestantism in 769! About adding this mod in, I think it might be ok. Just make two save files of your current date in the game, and then close out, activate the mod, and test one of those files. If all of the traits are messed up and half the world is Sayyid and Mizra, you'll have to wait till new gamre to use it.

I'm creating an anglican creation event, I could help you and join this project if possible...

The concept is simple, I want to work on On_action event. If the pope deny to you the divorce and you have bad relationship with him and you are of one of british culture you would be able to create the anglican church and be the head of it. All of your vassal will have a 50% chance to convert to Anglicanism , except zealous then will stay of their religion. There will be for 5 year a +10% religious revolt risk. I think I can program it easily, I've never worked on on_action trigger before but I've seen it and they seem to be very simple, here the On_action then I want to use

My plain it's just create the religion, create an event then will fire with this On_action then will give you the chooise to create the Anglican church and another event for let the vassal decide. So will require only 2 event and to modify the on_action.
