Is Txini taking the Spanish and Portugese revolts in South America... we have to set them up as events... all revolters that are SUPPOSED to revolt are going to need some serious events to help them along...

works for me... they didn't get an independent state til after WWII, but i could see them as a revolter.

Honestly, I don't think that would be so likely. AFAIK there was no risk/chance of an Israeli revolter.

there were uprisings... and a nationalist spirit... they were just never strong enough militarily to actually get free... that was my feeling.

but it will be an Ottoman CB province, and the religion and culture are good too, right? So it's unlikely that even if they are a revolter, that they would actually succeed... but I think it makes for more interesting gameplay... i say include them.

Well, I say not because an independent Israel required a UN decision and that's far out of range. If there are independence movements in Jerusalem under Ottoman rule, I'm quite sure it would be Palestinian (if I'm wrong please tell me so).

How about some special flavor events, like goodwill events for the Olympic Games and infra and trade investment for World Expositions?

Example:

As you can see I left out the country condition, so this will apply for all countries except Greece (which will have their own event). It also only applies to "Western nations" (afaik only western nations took part in the games).

Maybe it's ridiculous, but I thought it might give the game more flavor...

I like the idea, but wouldnt you have to write in every western nation... because otherwise EVERY nation would get a bonus?

No, the continent condition checks whether your country have its capital on a certain continent. If not the capital is in either Europe or America, the country won't fulfill the conditions.
