Re: the splintering of the NPP, and Morgan's surprise at his campaign breakdown: I think they are the same crisis.
I think Morgan's big mistake was breaking away from the NPP, the only center-right party, and the only right party that might have affiliated with his lefty Monarch agenda. With Morgan and Langley not leading the party, the dissent directed at Morgan and Langley from outside the party made more sense to those still in the party, and thuis they had a political revolution of their own... IMHO.
