Yeah, there are truly some great "classic" threads out there, and the "not a coup" coup plot line was a great one, from start to finish, to post-event trial.
My favorite post that I wrote, though, I think might be the two HAZ-MAT guys cleaning locusts out of Minister IKK's office. At least I think it was Minister IKK, may have been someone else's when IKK was president.

Yes! The locust event! I believe that was Minister IKK, and the locusts chased Pele or some other soccer/football star out of the office who was visiting at the time. Ohhh, that was a beautiful beautiful day.

Well they will go to other newspapers if you don't write some analysis about how certain points of Tulp's anouncements are contradicted by the leak or an editorial. It is a shame his news conference ended, otherwise you could have asked him some really difficult questions.The Gonzo said:

Given that La Voix broke the story and appeared critical of Tulp, they were the obvious receipiant of such a leak.
Originally Loic had intended to have Tulp replace Levarge as head of the joint chiefs, but then Levarge went on hiatus and Tulp didn't follow the Loic suggestions, after leaving the UMP when Loic joined it, and for failing to be properly greatful for having suggested that Josephus promote Tulp to Admiral, it would be uncharacteristic to have them suddenly become best buddies.The Gonzo said:

One of IKK's partymates (in IKK's incarnation as John or 'Jonh' Kenny) said that Vasco IKK was his father, and one of his competitors latched onto it and said his partymates didn't even know who they were running. So Kenny sent an 'open letter' (which the Scuttlebutt mocked, saying Kenny was apparently a vampire afraid of sunlight or leaving his dark abode and could only send open letters) asking if Amric or someone knew who Jake Langley's father was. It was the silliest debate not involving clams of any election I've seen.

i nearly controlled the tide of politics during that election although i do beleive ikk coming back would be cool, of course i "should" start doing things again soon :wacko: but i am waiting till after the election so i have NO political involvment in anything again ML isnt cut out for politics anymore but the father issue was fun, it gave me an opportunity to *appear* to have major influence since the opposition dropped the issue when i counter-fired about fathers in politics :rofl: although it was just timed well i think, but hopefully they dropped the issue cuz they prefered free media support :rofl:
I remember having to do some damage control spin for that IKK thing. At the time I was in his party...the P4P. I started Eutopia 3 with the intention of being more moderate and less a public figure. I just couldn't take being in a party with him as leader though......so I ended up becoming more moderate by being elected president....
Loic worked hard to make this a boring election, doing a deal with the center to get the nomination and unite the center, then doing a deal with the left for them not to run anyone. He even tried to do a deal with the right. I didn't know I needed to make a deal with the mods as well, or are you talking about some of the other speeches, by GA candidates?
