He's a lawyer indeed, but his character is a military officer who really believes in civilian control of the military, no matter how much it hurts.

Hmmm... (these are all in good fun, understand :D)

HAWKTON J TILLY = KILL JOHN WYATT (I *knew* he did it!), or perhaps more appropriately: THY LAW JINK LOT

MARCUS LEVARGE = MUSCLE RAVAGER, or possibly MEAGER SLAV CUR (I thought he was Franco-Eutopian?) ;)

JOSEPHUS LOCKE SERGEI = I GO, LURK JOE'S SPEECHES (he *does* make a lot of 'em)

LOIC DE FOURGERES = FLEECED, RIGOROUS, or perhaps IS CUDGELER OF ROE (I didn't know you had such strong feelings about fish eggs); CURED? RELIEF, SO GO (you've got a lot of good ones, I've gotta say)...

...the list goes on and on...

Adapted from an old joke:

So you want a 6 hour day...
Let's take a look at what you are asking for.
There are 365 days per year available for work.
There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work. Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available.
You spend 30 minutes each day on coffee break which counts for 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available. With a 1 hour lunch each day, you used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work.
You normally spend 2 days per year on sick leave. This leaves you only 20 days per year available for work.
Cutting down to 6 hours a day means you are away from work 18 hours a day not 16, or 1/8 more. One eight of 170 days (the number that went with 16 hours) is 21 days, so that means I would be working for you one day a year instead of you working for me, and I'll be darned if I am going to do that.

How about SALMON CHARGER? ;) With Charles S Morgan, you can get CHARMLESS ORGAN, which is perhaps too much information, or MASS LOG RANCHER... or NO HARMLESS CRAG (or possibly MR HALE'S SON, CRAG)... of course, you could always stay at GLEN'S ROACH ARMS. ;)

Disappointingly, there's a CAMEL in there, but it doesn't work with anything. ;)

Since I'm on a roll (and it's preventing me from answering another hundred bar review questions):

JACK TEANO = A NEAT JOCK, or A JACKET? NO!

For whatever reason, MICHAEL VON STREUSSER produces an enormous number of large words. I particularly like MR SELECTIVE SHUNS OAR (or the variation MR ELECTOR SHUNS A VISE (or the variation ELECTOR HAS MEN'S VIRUS, if you know what I'm saying)); HURT SERVICEMAN LOSES; LO, RUM VATS! CHEERINESS!; and my personal favorite, AN EVIL SCHEMER TO USSR -- we finally know what he was up to all these years!

JACOB LANGLEY = A LEGAL JOB, NYC, or ALL JOB AGENCY; JAKE LANGLEY, conversely, doesn't have much of anything.

You can get RUSKY HOOD out of YURI VOSHKOD, but you're stuck with a dangling VI...

LUCIEN NAPIER = ICE RUIN PLANE (now that's disturbing...)... LIAR is also in there...

By the way, lest anyone think I'm particularly clever, I'm not, but this thing is. :D

Perhaps I exagerate, but at this rate, the mods and demi-mods will soon outnumber the players, and the GA elections won't mean much because with the President and VP not being able to be MGAs, the other nine players will automatically be the MGAs.

On a slightly less pessimistic note, with Voshkod's Levarge presumably giving up his GA seat, that might provide Erc's PG Talbott some inducement to return to the game if the CUE would be willing to let him have it back. Let me know if that would be the case, and I will tell him next time we speak.

p.s to Voshkod, in RL, the central banks of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India, and France have asked me for advice.

See Big Announcement III. :) This is a slight concern, but one we think will pay dividends in terms of a better game, which will attract more players.

Levarge would, in fact, have to give up his GA role. He can remain, as an NPC, the Chair of the Joint Chiefs, until a new one is selected. A return of Talbott would be very welcome. One opportunity custom-made for his character has just passed (but it was a secret so I can't tell you about it! :D ) but I am there are plenty more out there.

It's a concern, and one heagarty has well addressed. But I'll second his comments: the hope is that a more active mod team with a stable of NPCs backing them up may attract more players.

On a slightly less pessimistic note, with Voshkod's Levarge presumably giving up his GA seat, that might provide Erc's PG Talbott some inducement to return to the game if the CUE would be willing to let him have it back. Not to mention that Levarge is out of Presidential contention.

Intersting...very interesting.

Next term, with Levarge out of the picture, O'Floinn could concievably pull out the old 'unite virtually every party into a coalition against an arbitrarily designated opponent and be elected at its head' trick to become President again. Of course, Reczynski would invariably become his arch-enemy and break off from the coaltion towards the end of the term, amidst an attempted coup by a disaffected conservative military officer. Josephus would continue to take potshots at everyone during the whole thing, and O'Floinn and Fourgères would finally forgive eachother for their early arguments and become allies. Then the massive centrist party formed by Fourères and O'Floinn after they merged their respective parties will dominate for another couple of terms, but disintegrate due the substance of the party failing to live up to the hype caused by undedicated members joining based on the party's position of power. Then, after several terms of alternating center-right and center-left presidents, an inept NPC will allow the nation to collapse, and so continue in the same pattern until only a negligiable amount of Eutopia remains. In that way, Eutopia is very much like a radioactive isotope.

As you may have noticed, I'm a little bored right now.
