Agreed. It's a bit of a reach to anyone to be assuming anything about escapes from Farpoint unless you're in on the private meetings in question. We're going to let them stand for now as irresponsible speculation, but please be more restrained next time. Of course, if the journalists in question are receiving leaks, that's another matter.

Okay, so I've never touched upon this type of game before. I was considering joining one of the political parties as a start but was wondering if there is a set way to do such? Its most likely writen down somewhere and I've missed it. Thus, allow me to say sorry.

First, welcome aboard. You should check out the Rules first. Then, take a look at the platforms the four existing parties to see which one you like (or try to create your own, if you think they are lacking). The party communication threads (which should be on the first couple of pages) will tell you what they're about. Once you join a party, you can take a seat in the General Assembly as a representative of that party.

Hopefully, we'll have a mentor for you soon.

Actually, I believe Todd Rapp got the ball rolling in this direction. I've simply picked up on the vibe.

J.Pass: Since Micheal Lundgren is retired now, I guess you are the official speaker. You might want to appoint a new deputy to help move things along. While IC political considerations are a part of the equation, I hope you'll also consider OOC factors, such as activity level and actual ability to moderate and lead a discussion.

Rapp never mentioned escaped prisoners. He asked about security at Farpoint (city), the explosion, and the APB. It's still a reach from there. This is just more of a reminder to be careful about material in private threads.

I have been reading only the threads in the public section, plus the two private threads that are ELP related, and of course this OOC thread. So while it may be improbable, perhaps it is that we have come to expect the improbable. Thanks for confirming the speculation. Obviously, it is OOC, so I can't quote it, but I can know it.

You can go to their HQ or their Communication thread. Some of them may have fallen off the main forum since the election.

Yep, you can either ask at the Party HQ or you can go to their communications threads in the public area to ask any questions you might have before joining.
