On the other hand, a social gathering point, like the tea room, is another thing altogether. I'd assume having that be seperate is still ok, but I'd wait for a mod to confirm or correct that.

Sounds good to me. Gonzo, your "home" thread can be public or private as you see fit -- the difficulty with making it private is that you theoretically have to invite in anyone you want to talk to.

As always, the rule of common sense should prevail. If a meeting takes place in Lundgren's office, you don't know what was said unless you're there, whether the thread is public or not.

By the by, there's nothing quite so shocking as seeing Josephus supporting a rightist party. Sent me reeling... ;)

Yep, that's why I haven't joined a party yet.

Well, CURE is the Quasi-Fascistic Party, LDL is some kind of hybrid between normal Conservatism and Military Dictatorship and the EDP is basically the CUE but Monarchist, I expect.

I want to see if they have some sort of infighting or merger or something before I commit myself.

A while ago, I had been considering starting my own party, the Monarchist-Unionist Party, but when I saw that there were now three right-wing parties, I thought to myself that a fourth would be too many, and that I would wait until everything sorted itself out.

Okay, people, I think I'm back. Won't be able to do anything serious for another couple weeks, we're unpacking and all that fun crap and also tripping over all the boxes which I stupidly have placed between my bed and the "jack and jill" bathroom. Did I mention it's a new house? So only half the stuff works. Okay. So. Eutopia. Four. Hey, that's great, e4 for my 4squared birthday. So. Anyone want to fill me in?

Sent you reeling?

How do you think I feel?

It is a challenge, doing this. At first I considered coming back as Josephus II. But, besides being against the rules, I figured..what's the point? May as well try something different. It will be tougher playing Jim Sykes, because although I'm quite well versed in Leftist-speak, I'm really not up to speed on Conservative jargon.

Now, what would be really cool is if Craig Ashley comes back as a socialist.

Well, in word, Eutopia was fubar. Levarge took over via force, and changed things (can be seen in the newslink) then went and got himself shot. Thus, Eutopia 4. We are having a constitutional convention, that I don't have time to be part of.

Alright Olson, I'll pay your rent this month, but if you don't come up with $50 by the end of next month, the Landlord'll throw you out.

Anyway, join the NSPE!

I pride myself on always paying my rent, even if I don't pay for anything else. However, since I tend to be in jail a lot, rent's not a concern. :p

Anywho, before I jump back on the Socialist bandwagon, I want to see what other parties on the Left pop up. The Right seems to have 3 parties all ready, and none of them are very moderate (of course to me, none of them would be moderate anyway, but that's another story). The way I have interpeted it is that the NSPE is the Left and the Eutopian Labor Party is the Center-Left. I'm going to sit back and watch a bit. But it's pretty safe to say that I will remain Left of Center.

I'm thinking about being Independent for a term or so (my inner demagogue probably won't let me). I like to think of it as my character going through some soul searching, trying to accept Josephus' loss and Levarge's demise. So in short, we'll see what happens, but I promise not to jump on the LDL bandwagon.

Someone asked a few days ago about the Eutopia 3 flag...

I don't have it, I only have the one I voted for (I think it came in like 2nd or 3rd place :()

eutopiaprop1a6tu.gif

eutopiaprop1b2lc.gif

Symbolism:

The point of the flag is that Eutopia is now divided. The cross has been split into four pieces representing the UPE, the Republic of St. Esprit, Reino de Tilapia, and Bermuda, with the Trident (the national symbol from Eutopia 2) in the center binding them all together. The blue symbolizes the water that separates Eutopia from the world, and the black symbolizes the period of darkness that Eutopia has descended into. Devoid of fancy bright yellows that represent ethnicities which broke away.

At least you two are doing it outside of the Consitutional Convention, which I deeply appreciate. And you've been highly entertaining. I have to agree it looks like the two of you are going to be having your own version of the newspaper wars.

Are you calling the EDP rightwing? We actually would be more likely to form coalitions with the Socialists than those fascists

Your platform is very vague, but it seems to me too that you're rather rightwing party. Monarchism is certainly not very popular among leftists methinks.
