yes it is a system of redundancies , but this vote will close the amendment process over this bill and make it ready to be signed by the next president.
Now that the GA have amended as they see fit, they are voting to see whether they approve the whole thing. It can appear redundant, but in other cases it isn't. Suppose a law was proposed banning the use of leaf blowers by the Green Party. An amendment to water it down, making an exception between October 1st and November 30th is proposed by the Garden Party and passed with support from all parties, even the Greens as they think it will make the bill more likely to pass and those generally opposed to measure view some possibility to use leaf blowers better than none. Another amendment is proposed by the Quiet Nights Party banning the use of leaf blowers between 6 PM and 8 AM on any date, which passes with general support. The Garden Party and the Toolmakers Party have more seats than the Green Party and the Quiet Nights Party, so the overall bill, as amended goes down to defeat.Josephus I said:So, we're voting on the already accepted ammendment?
Hyzhenhok said:The rule, I believe, is that it must officially be announced that someone is taking a GA seat, and that must occur before debate on an item for them to be eligible to vote on something.

We had Gonzov, Leary? Glasser, who else?
Edit: Nevermind, whoever wins the election will be fifth after Vanderleft.
