Well, there's a schedule, though "definite" might be too harsh a word. Last election was the end of January, so the next one should be the end of April. We haven't even gotten to the halfway point yet.

I expect future bills won't take as much time as the PDRA. Actually, Jerome would have called a vote on the property bill a few days ago already if the results for the Cojuanco amendment had been in. But now that the GA has another (possibly hostile) amendment to consider, well...

I think serious consideration needs to be given to the abilty for the GA to debate two bills at once. I was going to propose that, in fact, next time I was in the GA.

Park's Amendment won't be offered as a hostile amendment, at least not by Woody. I thought he made it clear, accept it as friendly or not and then, either way, let's proceed to a vote.

I read his comments simply as a statement of preference for a friendly amendment. Which wouldn't preclude it turning hostile.

Gentlemen does anyone have any objections to my declaring the AG office vacant due to incapacity? Mr. Asre is sitting in jail and as I understand it is unlikely to leave there until at least his trial.

look i have been trying to finalize this for a while now in a way that wont end the career of ian. i thought it was over earlier after losing a week of playing time then new evidence popped up. then when requested to resign i said sure as long as you dont arrest me for the crime anyways but no response. now ian has a warrant on him and if i even try to resolve this IC ian will be arrested again and put on trial. so can we work out an arrangment o or should ian go public, say there is a giant consperacy based on the suicide note of gonzov that the president and his henchmen are trying to cover up and then have ian commit suicide to make it even crazier? :wacko:

I got finals in 4 classes next week and i am hoping to actualy do something here the week after.

Actually, if you look at the AG Secure Office and the SAW Downtown Office, Asre has been arrested and placed in holding.

The obvious choices are to convince Glasser to drop the charges, or to go to trial and win your defense.

As a player I honestly didn't want to hurt you as a player by arresting Asre. I felt, however, once I had ordered the arrest warrants it would reflect poorly on Glasser if he retracted them and had you resign instead.

Well, here's the thing. The public (unless you've announced it and I haven't read it as of this posting) doesn't know about Asre's arrest. Only the cabinet does, Burke, and whoever was necessarily involved in the arrest itself. While there will certainly be some readily identifiable NPCs who would not like the reversal, they wouldn't have liked it if you just let him resign in the first place. So while you stand to lose some face if you let him go, it's no worse than if you had let him go before the arrest warrant was issued. I'm willing to be lenient due to the timing (partially because otherwise I have to set up and run a trial! ).

And last I checked, I was the last responder in the Clear House. Did I miss something somewhere?

well if you ordered the arrest before you got my pm it took me a little while to get around to it cuz i was sick, be a little more patient next time you are waiting on a pm and the person isnt active on the forums

edit: ian willing to resign, if it goes to trial he wont cuz that makes him look guilty. if you remove him before being guilty, he will sue you regardless of his trials outcome.

We did our research, and have extremely reliable information that the way secure faxes work is this: if only one end is secure, nothing is secure. You have to have a secure connection on both sides, otherwise the sender information is clear as a bell. If you wanted to give a fake caller ID, you should have said that, not a secure connection. Very different.

And it's not lock solid. It's all circumstantial. I only remember saying as much about 1800 times.

Say what you mean, mean what you say. As far as established, remember who "established" it. The Gonzo and Carthade, snuggly and wonderful as they are, don't have control over content.

I guess you're right then. Glasser's been told all the evidence, and it all looked circumstantial to me, but looks like I was wrong. I'll have to double down in those classes. And it wasn't done when new evidence came to light, it just took a while for charges to pressed, mostly due to the fact that the first time you were arrested, there was no President to charge you.

It will be less of a problem if the GA rules change I proposed is approved. In this case that works against the ELP, but since it was a campaign promise, it was proposed anyway.
