Ah, but is Leary President yet? Everybody assumes he is, but the argument could be made that he'd be being elected twice in a row and would therefore be ineligible. Certainly, since it'd be from twice being elected Speaker, the case would have a stronger founding.

Of course, Berenguerr would fight it either way. Just for the hell of it. What, you think he cares whether anybody likes him? Especially since I'm considering playing him with more quasi-messianic (but seemingly uniquely in a non-mad way) tendencies now, based on Gonzov's farewell to him.

If Leary came back and got essentially grandfathered in, that'd probably be the ELP's best chance of getting somebody not from the PoL in to power. Arguments about picking the wrong man for the job could probably allow us to stalemate it for a while or put another party in (although that'd likely be worse for us, I'm just throwing out possibilities here.)

If Leary comes back, we'd have Lucescu or O'Floinn resign from the Speakership, (obviously the PoL will own it) have Leary elected new Speaker, then Zhokhyen would resign. No need for a legality battle. Besides, since he's been gone nearly a week, its hardly a 'false finding of vacancy'.

But you're right, Berenguerr would be fighting all of it the whole way.

Of course, you will need to act fast now if you want to get noted in the GA election. I suggest you chase Lucescu's coat-tails out of the Cabinet Room.

hey! Ian is atm a critical figure in how the country handles this crisis. He doesn't need to be loud and being extreme is just not atm something he is doing since he is young enough but with enough responsibility to be in a stage where he feels he needs to act dignified.

Zhokhyen would be opposed to the kind of extreme conservatives I'm looking for. I'm talking about Garibaldi-esque. Really a shame Praetor quit when things could have gotten so interesting.
