Eutopians across the nation turn on their TV sets to see their former President, John O'Floinn sitting in a large, comfortable chair.

Good evening Eutopia! I suppose you're all wondering what else I could possibly have to say. Truth be told, I am too, so I managed to get myself some time on the air every night to talk to you about, well whatever I want really, it's my show, I get to decide. Anyway, let's watch some commercials. You never know when you'll see a commercial for that great product you've been looking for.

Commercials play about various appliances and beverages.

So...we're back to me. You know what, let's watch those commercial's again.

The same commercials play again

Back to me again. I'd like to give a message to anyone who wants to appear on my show. Just call or write (OOC: PM) me, because unless I get some guests on the show, it's just me talking, and that could get old pretty fast.

You know, I don't have much else to say today, so I'm going to go play golf. In fact, I'll tape the golf, and you'll all be able to watch it tomorrow night. Just imagine the famous Eutopian's you'll see alongside me on the course. Actually, you know golf's pretty dull to watch, so instead, I won't tape it, but there'll be a full show tomorrow! Goodnight Eutopia!

Eutopians tune in again to see O'Floinn sitting comfortably, drinking a coca-cola. It's a welcome relief from the past few days, during which O'Floinn had been away on business, and a cheap puppet had filled his place.

Good evening again my fellow Eutopians. Good news, I've secured a guest for Tonight's show. He is the fearless leader of our Environmental and Social Services! Here he is ladies and gentlemen, Amric Al'Aeshir!

Waits about 7.8 seconds

Well folks, looks like Amric is running late, he must have some important environmental business to handle. Or maybe he's writing a new peice for his new newspaper, the Eutopian Today. It really is a quality bit of journalism. Seriously....yeah...it is. Time for some commercials I think.

After the short commercial break, the picture turns to a behind-the-scenes camera showing O'Floinn talking with an employee.

"What do you mean I forgot to call Amric!?"

The employee says something quietly

"But calling Amric was your job! It was your only job!"

The employee mumbles again.

"Oh, you called him after the show started, bloody lot of good that did me!"

O'Floinn whips around to face the camera. He leans back and asks his aide quietly:

"I don't suppose there's any chance the bright red light means the camera's off?"

Abruptly the picture switches to the bad puppet of O'Floinn gesturing wildly from behind a large desk. Just as abruptly, it switches to O'Floinn sitting in his large chair again, smiling and drinking a fresh coca-cola.

"Welcome back everyone, I have just been informed that my first ever gues has just arrived. And here he is, Amric Al'Aeshir!"

O'Floinn, who hadn't really moved at all since he said Amric's name a second time, abruptly blinks rapidly for a moment then picks up the phone.

"Hello, this is John O'Floinn. What's on your mind?"

Yes, I wonder what happened to him. I wonder if my intern really called him. Finding reliable help is hard these days. Listen, Michael, I've been meaning to get in touch with you about a bill I'm preparing.

Well, it's a judicial reform bill. It's mainly an expansion on the AG's office. Actually, your father helped me develop the idea for the bill a while back. Basically, the bill puts screening cases submitted to the MILE courts under the AG's responsibility. The AG would look into submitted cases, and then either bump them up to the High Court, bump them down to the MILE Courts, or outright reject them. Also, after a judge has ruled on something, it would be the AG's responsibility to make sure the Court's will is carried out. I've showed this plan and had it accepted by people from all over the political spectrum, from Langley to Josephus.

This is a very interesting idea. A filtering process so that cases have a system of where to go, and if they are worthy of being heard. It has some merit, worthy of at least being debated and voted upon in the Assembly.

That's all I'm asking for. That and maybe a national John O'Floinn day. But I'd be happy to just start with the first one for now.
Well it was a pleasure discussing politics over the phone. I have to go and wrap up some business, good luck with the show!

Amric walks in quickly and sits down in the chair next to John O'Floinn.

I apologize for my tardiness. I got a call from some fellow saying I was supposed to be on the show tonight. So I rushed right over. Nice to see you again, John. You are looking well rested after your mini vacation.

So what would you like to talk about tonight? I'm up for anything!

Not a problem at all Amric, I just found out a few minutes ago that one of my interns never called you. Michael Lundgren called in, and we talked for a while about my judicial reform plans. President Talbott and I have, however, have been discussing changing the proposal. I'll talk about that more later.

Busy, busy, busy. But you know how that is, John. So what subject should we start discussing first? Health? The Environment? The Economy?

OOC: Won't be online much tonight...lots to do right now...but wanted to keep this going!

Why not start with a bit about health. Now, I know something that a lot of Eutopians out there must be wondering. And this is probably more complicated than it seems, but I'd love to hear the answer if you can to give it. What was with the locusts?

Actually, John. I don't know why they went beserk. I know that for some reason they left their normal habitat and migrated in ways that have never been seen before. Something caused them to do this. I sent teams out to try and discover the reason, but haven't actually gotten a report yet.

Or if I did, it was lost in the shuffle during the Hurteau Fever crisis. I will tell you this. I will continue to investigate it until some kind of answer is available. At least the locusts are no longer migrating. We had to destroy them, but there was really no choice in the matter.

At least the theory that they might have been the cause of Hurteau Fever turned out to be wrong, thankfully. The reality was bad enough, but to think locusts could have spread it was kind of chilling.
