Native EUtopians up in arms, American Sailor wanted by W.E.T. Police

Farpoint) Native EUtopians have staged several increasingly large protests over the week in Farpoint, drawing national attention to a dispute that WET Police are now referring up to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Walking through the protestors and interviewing them, one sees a lot of rage, and a solidarity between many clans that have traditionaly been at odds. Farpoint being centered around the traditional territory of the A'rai people, naturally makes them the dominant party, but it seems that in fact the whole A'rai Nation is present laying virtual seige to the American Naval Reservation, where U.S. Marines had to push back protestors before closing the gate.
Traditional inland enemies such as the Kuravas or V'ashtus are also present in great numbers in addition to many native groups from across WET and across EUtopia. They have been, marching up and down the streets of Farpoint, and a few guns have been seen. One angry young protest leader from EUtopia City, Khalida Florence V'ashtu, interviewed by this reporter summed up what many here are feeling; "
This is it... this is just another in a long line of events in the sad history of the true EUtopians... the entire Topa nation, and our culture. First came the white settlers who took our lands, and chased our people for their faith, then came their Indian moneylenders who took our wealth, and then everyone else!....then we were left only in small pockets... our traditional fishing rights.. being usurped by virtue of huge commercial craft sweeping the seas clean... We are like those poor fellow believing Saharans who came as refugees... are we to end up like them? And now this.... This attrocity in which we must unite against!" She then went on to lead a march through the "suburbs" of Farpoint encouraging others to come down to the Naval base and callt he world's attention.
So what exactly has happened here? It took some time to figure out but apparently it began last week in a showdown between WET police and the U.S. Navy. Apparently, one 2nd Lt. George Hanson is wanted by EUtopian police for a prision sentence stemming from rape, battery, contempt of court, and failure to show up in court as of two days ago, when he was tried without his presence due to his refusal to come. Why didn't the WET police haul him in? He is under the protection of the barbedwire fences and eyes of the U.S. government.
Apparently after marrying a Native EUtopian of the A'rai people in Farpoint last week, the night of the wedding went poorly, as the next day the woman in question, one Elizabeth Quara A'rai, filed charges of battery and rape. A medical examination concured, and WET Police went to arrest Lt. Hanson at his place of work... the U.S. Naval Reservation. At first, things went smoothly, Marines at the gate calling the Commander in charge of the Station, one Cmdr. Goodfellow. Apparently, however, Lt. Hanson had already reported that he had indeed been involved in a fight with his new wife and that she and her family assualted him, and that he hadn't lain a hand on her. At that point ot was stated that Lt. Hanson was not subject to the jurisdiction of local law, especially as he was now, not even on the Naval Reservation, but aboard a vessel of war. It was not mentioned which vessel.
It was at this point when local A'rai activists began a grassroots campaign with Emails and drives up to other towns in WET; as well as a movment by the EUtopia University Topa Student Association began. This has culminated in one of the largest gatherings of Native EUtopians in recent history. The protests greatly swelled when the The USS Affray, a mine clearing ship, left port two days ago following the trial. Native EUtopians are afraid Lt. Hanson may have been on that ship and are angry.

The Eutopian National Defense Technologies Corporation Unleashes a "Gorgon"
END Tech began trials on what they claim is the first "Eutopian designed and manufactured battle tank prototype." The tanks thought out specs are impressive indeed, but many industry analysts doubt END Tech has the resources, or that EUtopia has the production or knowledge base to support such an impressive production concept. The 3 Mk 1 prototypes while undergoing engine and weight testing trials, have shown some success, though a speculated test firing of depleted Uranium shells did not come through, primarily due to a lack of refined depleted Uranium END Tech might have access to. Trials have shown the custom engine to be suseceptable to overheating, and that the desired 4-forward speed transmission to be unstable, due to the great weight of the machine and the high speeds it was tested at, inclines proved taxing.

While it has shown admirable ability in simulated below zero (F) tempertures, and its ability to plow through snow conditions.. beaches, rivers, and swamps seem to be problamatic for the heavy tank. While hermetically sealed, 1 prototype crew waited a nervous 3 minutes before being towed out of a river, and another tank was removed from a swamp via crane. Armor tests and thermal imaging proved reliable, which brought some joy to END Tech Scientists, one of which responded "

Eutopian Finsherpers' Union Votes YES to Boycott
Eutopian Fisherpers have voted to not purchase food stuffs from Belgium, Germany, France, Iceland, or Spain over fishing issues. Iceland was tacked on at the last moment as an Icelandic fleet has moved south competing with EUtopian Fisherpers. At their annual meeting an exhibition was done highlighting the plight of native fisherfolk in the face of large floating fishing factories.

China looks to EUtopia
In wake of Indian buisness expanding in EUtopia due to its CSIOP status, China has made new forays into buisness avenues of EUtopia, its representatives have recently been seen placing brochures for light amphibious tanks, destroyers, and jet fighters under the doors of senior military officals.
Queen Maria visits Nouvelle Aquitaine
Queen Maria, accompanied by her entorage, as well as the Crown Princess and her husband the former Regent and Supreme Judge, visited the province's cities to speak with the African EUtopian community about issues relavant to their interests, which include strengthening the EUtopian Textile industry and Tobacco production facilities, many of which are owned by the African community.
Summer lets EUtopian Schools Out
Parents and Police both started to worry as schools were let out, as they prepared for the antics of bored youths and temper tantrums. Local students on the other hand took a different view. Joey, aged 7, said "
