I would like to propose that colonies in peace treties work like this.

1/10 for each level thus a level one colony counts and 1/10 of a provence and so on till a level nine colony equals 9/10 of a provence. It seems weird to mark all colonies as 1/2 when more money has been invested into some than others. Not Papal States will have a huge colonial empire anytime soon. :)

I think that the max 3-prov rule should be removed, as well as the max 3 humans in alliance. These things should be limited by the players, not by rules. In Renaissance Europe, Kings were able to take as much territory as they wanted. The problem was that it would upset the balance of power and other nations would intervene.

I'm of divided opinion on the matter. On the one hand i agree with Sterkarm that it should be left up to the natural mechanics of player competency and reason to try and maintain the "balance of power". Yet, how can we rely on all players involved not to say create a 4-5 player alliance even if for only 20-30 years that nonetheless would easily be capable of knocking down any major power or 2 to that of a minor one. I'd like to rely on the the natural give and ebb that could make the game so fascinating diplomatically so i'll support Sterkarm, if cautiously :) .

I also think we do not need max 3 humans per alliance. However I am strongly in favor of the 3 provinces per peace rule for European regions. With extremely few exceptions have there been no wars that allowed the victor to take over all but the capital of the other state. A good example would be the three polish divisions.... little by little, not all in once.

As for our playing times, you guys are aware that there is a soccer championship going on in Europe.... I might just be a bit distracted those first two sessions. :D

I'm fine with anything just as long as all the good Catholic nations pay me tribute. Seriously the allience rule might be good to keep. I don't want to an Anglo-French-Spanish-Austrian allience. The provence rule can go truth be told that will hurt the larger countries more than me.

Ciao Dagoooo vecchia culanda!!! Vivo e vegeto a pronto a battezzare i chirichetti papali :D

To you playmates, i'll have some problem with playing from 20 GMT, would it be a problem to begin at 20 BST? If we are supposed to play for 3 - 4 hours in a session it's going to become to late for me in the first case.
Hope u can live with it.

I was considering about what sterk said and I came out with some conclusions:

1) Its very dangerous to the game allow an alliance with more than 3 members... coz a gangbang, that it isnt funny at all, would be real. I think we shouldtry to keep the balance, and allowing a ubber alliance would screw up everything. So lets keep teh 3 human per alliance.

2) We have nations like Venice, Papal States and even mine, Austria that if they lose 3 provs the game is over for them( especially for Papal :) ). Considering that it is forbid to take more than 3 provs from a human nation. BUT, against the AI it is allowed....

Hope to please the ones that agree and not agree with sterk.

About time is 20 BST 21 GMT?? If yes, no problem we can start at 21 GMT.... I ask you guys to always put GMT when refering to time, because is the only one known by everyone.

Last thing before our game starts:

Cultural rule.... Should us have sth related to this? We should aprove it until tomorrow two hours before our game, then we wont have it anymore.

I was thinking in a maximum of 2 gained culture... and for you be able to claim a culture you must have at least 66% of all provs that has that culture. For example U think that there are 15 italian provs, so if somebody could OWN 10(9.9) italian provs could claim this culture, that would be edited after the session. If a culture has only one or two provs you will have to take them all to be able to claim it. For example swiss has 2 provs, so i must own these two provs to be able to claim it.

I thinh 20 BST is more like 19GMT or 21 CET.
The best to test time is to look at the clock now: it's 18.25 in italy now what is GMT?

About culture, i'm agree, but i think he should have the province at least for 20 years before gaining the culture.
About cores, what about if a country that has a culture and own a province w/o having a core if he keeps this province for 20 years he will gain the core?
