AAR England 1453-1463
Twas a jolly good session. Fought a big war (through proxy of my sub), which was lost, but nonetheless bloody good way to start off the game. Then I showed up after a refreshing two extra hours of sleeping in(well, still less than normal but anyway...) and started my own war, against the damned scots and their irish cousins. And so began a great project that was to restore wealth and power to England. And all this in the midst of a civil war.
So I DOW'd Scotland, Ireland joined. Long story short, I made some money off looting, and the war is still going, and will probably continue for quite some time. Manus in 15 years!

The night air outside of Moscow was cold, bitter cold and dry, lit by the campfires of an army and the remains from yesterday's battle. Ivan Obolenski-Striga was going over the orders once more. Not that he didn't know them of course, but he wanted them to sink in so as to become a second nature.
The Grand Duchy of Moscow had been fighting for the last decade. It all started over the Duchy of Novgorod, with whom they were bitter rivals. The invasion had started in Spring of 1453, and the progress had been quickly made by Moscow's three generals, himself, Kholmsky and Fedor Basenok. The progress had been quick, in a year, half of the Duchy had been occupied, however their old enemies, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, had invaded together with their liege, King of Poland, preying again to divide the Orthodox lords.
The fight had been harsh, but his senior officer, Fedor Basenok, fought like a genius or a madmen. Novgorod had been peaced to fund the war, and cavalry ruled the steppes of russia. The counterinvasion of Lithuania had been thwarted by the Kingdom of Sweden, who somehow meddled in the conflict. The rest was history. Ten years later, despite one of the bloodiest conflict seen in Russia since the Mongol wars, the war was fought to a standstill. The invaders were again thrown out of Russia, and Ivan's army camped outside of Moscow, besieging it for the third time.
Fedor Basenok had been dead for three years now, God had mercy on his soul, although Ivan had little doubt he was sitting by his side now. He had repeatedly saved Russia from destruction, and surely would be repaid by God for saving the true faith from rule under the Roman heretics. Ivan now lead the war effort, and despite his weakening army, he knew God would grant him victory. Peace was not an option for the Grand Duchy. As part of the demands, Poland and Sweden demanded to be recognised as overlords over half the lands remaining under rule of Orthodoxy in Europe. Should they fail, it was not only Moscow's future that was threatened, it was their whole religion. They had to succeed. Ivan Obolenski-Striga looked at the walls of Moscow again. They would fall soon he thought. Winter, Ottoman threat and the casualties inflicted in Autumn in the south were preventing the Poles from marching on them just yet. Besides, the walls had been weakened by this conflict. That's what happened when a fortress was besieged almost ten times in ten years. Moscow would be freed soon, and after that, who knew how long this war would drag on again. But first he had to carry on the night preparatives for tomorrow. Then he would sleep.

There's nothing else to write about. What if I just copy-paste what I have so it looks longer?
Good session for Portugal, pretty slow though, but finally got Infra3 and the colonization run started
Wow, quite change nice country I got now though I wished I could have done better against the Indian southern block.
Btw, the situation with Arco seems truly a pity. I also have had countless occassions when my "grand strategy" has been thrown to the wind.
Apparently Arco did sign a clear agreement in the manner he alluded to in game. The record of Eskimo and Arco thus far is truly dismal, and if PJL in any way played as a sub he ought to have listened far more carefully to Fraese's report on Arco's dealings.
Now only two provinces were traded, but still I think Fraese' had to endure a hard one here.
So, Arco if you ever thinkg there is even a 1% chance you cannot make the session, please pm myself, cas or temu your instructions for any subs.

Wow, this is unbelievable. I had 1700D when we ended, and now according to the stats I only have 220D or so. I guess it could explain why I got so many loans... but still, I watched my treasury increase over time, and all that money was accounted for, so wtf happened to it?!?
I have 18 lag loans, toward the end they just kept piling up automatically. I am kind of bewildered at this- could we talk about some kind of edit? Perhaps something like editting out a couple manus in exchange for 2600D of loans edited out(aproximately the price of the last two), and then maybe something to cover the interests? I should get 300D for the last AAR, and 300D pending my next AAR also, any chance that could be turned into loan repayment as well?

In theory also, there is now breaking of Truce's Tem (any according to the rules). Though I guess this can be amended for the AI.
My guess? A session of occupation and plunder of two entire country every year. One of the things that is not well accounted, and that is the result of most lag loans, is always plunder. You probably got say, half of what it showed you gained from it, so your treasury was never as high as it appeared to be. Result: The manufactories were paid by loans. That's my enlightened guess.

Last session, Joohoo harassed us for about 30m before we gave him an answer and it was ruled that there were no rules protecting the AI, including that one. I remembered it, and Cas seems to remember it also considering his reaction today(Oh, it was AI? nevermind). My truce breaking(with AI) was perfectly legal as it had been authorised last session.
BTW, am I be the new perm for Venice now? Arconelli hasn't shown up for this game at all, and I really think it would be fair if I now permed for Venice.
