Time to attack!! :D

However, I'll wait until I get LT 18 to attack Sweden... 2 CRT advantage rocks!

But if Russia attacks our dear Northwestern neighbour now, taking advantage of our superior military technique, what would then happen in 1611 when Sweden at par with our CRT will get a certain leader whose name it should not be necessary to mention ;)

To attack Sweden would be just about the most stupid thing to do for Russia just now. In fact: Sweden have behaved very well towards us and we are not in the habit of rewarding our friends by a slap on their chin. On the contrary, we tend to reward our friends by sending them gifts in times of trouble.

Those we attack are our enemies!

War for Russia is not a matter of joy of gaming, it is

a) based upon a mature cost and benefit analysis, done seriously and carefully

and/or

b) a childish expression of vengence, performed primitively, brutally, massively and without concern for money or safety

This statement binds Dud only if he agrees to it.

I still have reservations about Eu3 though :(

Look at diplomacy when they used a 3D engine, not good at all. I hope that they don't go Graphics>Gameplay anyway.

Still I guess that it cannot go that wrong if they follow the first games :D

Well, everything depends on the optimalization of the engine - Diplomacy isn't very popular game - Europa Universalis game series is "crown product" of the Paradox. If they will optimalize game code well enough, I think that even older cpu's will handle it well ( just look at the Blizzard job with World of Warcraft or Warcraft III  ).

I have reservations also. They can decide to make radical changes and... well, I think they can only screw up. I hope I'm wrong. EU2 is almost perfect. It is hard to make succesfull sequel of such game. I have played EU1 for a long time and my greatest fear was that they will change too much in EU2. I was wrong then. But, can they make three games in a row that will be so simmilar?

Well, I think EU can be improved. Some new diplomatics options (including the option of Buying/selling provs ingame) and a better system of leadership would be great :)

But anyway, 3d sucks.

On Saturday, I need to attend my aun't funeral. I'll possibly there for the start of the session(or not), but I will definitely need a sub for the second half if not most of the session. I've asked Mioz, but gotten no reply yet. I'll keep looking on my own, but if you guys have anyone you know who'd be available, I'd appreciate. Thanks.

Edit: nevermind, I got a message from him just as I posted this.

Hehe, there is a lot of truth in that. There is also something that can be callled "playability" and that playability was damaged in many games with 3D modeling.

Core in Argyll.
