my sub for this session i understand was LSD.
his playing is different from mine, but my Spain needed a player like him.
So, i found no new cities and -1 colonies (wonder where that went?) as opposed to my heavilyy colonial manner of playing.
Instead he did a great job on the country's finance.
When the session started he had a 1000 ducats loan to repay, and an event in 1592 that would give him +10 infla and -500 ducats.
Spain has now no loans, and not +10 infla, as i expected, but +9.2 infla compares to last session, because he promoted governors.
Of course by this he neglected the trade, but still with no monopolies now Spain makes more money than with 2 monopolies last session, due to a +4% in trade efficiency. Production efficiency also increased +8%.
Although in the event 3 manus were lost, i have only 2 less now, which means he built another one.
Spain now has 67 more governors ready to battle inflation, a higher LT (+4), higher trade (+1) and higher infrastructure (+1), +1 centralisation, +2 innovativeness and -2 mercantilism.
Things went very good i see, and if at first i was a bit angry that no new colonies were founded, i saw that 249 new provinces and 4 new COTs have been discovered. Thanks for subbing, you did a very good job!

And slow exploration really did hurt ... thousands in lost trade ducats.
well... I started this game being gangbanged by Poland (much stronger than me that time) and Sweden, both humans. Then diplomatically isolated Sweden I fought him... so another human war. thenI fought once again sweden and then once again sweden (pibe) so 4 human wars. Add to this my war against Austria when he attacked Poland (luis pivo) and mine against temu when he attack poland (ear) so IIRC 6 humans wars that ismore than what england fought and I also had more casualities than England. So...
i have one question as newly appointed ruler of austrian empire.
what pacts (non agression and such) austria have signed that are still good (how do you say "not expired"!? :wacko: ), and what is game rule about breaking of such pacts? is breaking even posible or once you sign it you must wait until it expires. that is, is backstabinng alowed?
and yes, i hope next time i'll show up on time. and won't bring some polish luck to austria . in case if i really become permanent, i want you all to know that new winds will blow in austria.
i hope to maintain good relations with all my neighbours offcourse, and even improve them. any diferences between austria and other europian powers that were result of austrian politics in the past can shurly be corected now with new leadership.

Well lets see, yes indeed, you had two early wars that might have pressed Russia somewhat. But the last two wars against Sweden the material and financial odds were so much in Russia's favour they don't rank as real wars in my book. Furthermore, the Polish wars were fought on Polish soil primarily by Polish men, again Russia itself was never threatened and casualties must have been minimal. So perhaps 2 wars of worth and casualties and tech go to prove this theory.
Cas you very much prove my point, Russian casualties are scarcely 100k higher then Englands, when an avg. correlation should be like 4-5x as much. Furthermore don't forget the loss of ships which make it rather clear what the cost has actually been for our states (far higher for my poor islanders). If your wondering, England has been engaged in 4 wars against far stronger states and yet has managed to survive releativily unscathed, minus some econ tech. I raise this issue as it appears your poor neighbours have let the Russian steamroller expand releativily unhindered and considering Russian opinion of European attitudes this may bode badly for them ... though I doubt they'll realize this.

Trash, could you tell me what you spent the 1000d on? All I saw was a few level 6 TPs ( ) and a bit of trade in Europe.

You are allowed to break pacts, but in the future it will be more difficult to players believe in your words and therefore sign new pacts with you, that I am sure you'll need someday. So be aware when you break your words, you must be prepared to face the consequenses

The arguement in the diplomatic thread about the legit'ness of Russian expantion is kinda funny, how you guys think titles and history have anything to do with it is hillarious. Seriously, stop bitching about Russia and just DoW them next session and make Cas release Poland and Finland if you want. Jeez.

well, i quite enjoy roleplaying and it's a good way to make diplomacy...

Also considering Russian NAP with Ottoman Empire and BB and the alliance with Austria will be kind of difficult to make them force me to release Poland or Finland, isnt it?

What uber alliance? My affiliation with France and BB is limited and primarily a reconciliation of France-Britain by the wiley Margrave. As for the French-Spanish-British entente it is nowhere near close to an alliance. I am more likely to go to war with Spain then Russia, and not France only as i'm in an alliance. This is simply a common grouping of states that not only feels diplomatically put off by Russian statements and policy, but sees a far more destabilized situation in Eastern Europe then any equivalent in the west. Where 1-1 or even 2-1 no eastern state stands a chance ... this treaty is meant to counteract some of that and Russia's voracious appetite.
