I've just realised that FAL's Barnius stats are incorrect for Sweden last session, as she had already reached Trade 10, so her refinery research bonus should not have been included in the chart. The same now applies to the Dutch refineries, and also Swedish goods manufactories.

Isn't that income going direct to the treasury now?

No, it is lost. That's why hyperteching is bad :D .
When a certain technology is maximised the corresponding manufactories are worth only 6 d or 12 d, plus possible other bonusses like higher efficiency or support limit, but no more 60 d/year technology investments.

BTW, that also means that 60 d/year/FAA cultural income is not correct while stability is at +3.

Anyway, we will talk with the polish king. It seems that their rich allies are not enough to protect their lands. Russia could like to discuss a new settlement in the east that could avoid the unpleasant fact that the polish countryside is regularly visited by enemy soldiers.

Not another inch of polish soil will be given up.

Now when England has reached the same CRT and added the wealth of the carribean we should be able to stand straight.

We, the dedicated readers, would like to know how the problem os alliances was solved. Who are allies now and who are the enemies? Can you post something regarding that?

* England, Portugal, Poland.
* Spain, Netherlands & Prussia.
* Russia & Sweden.

France and Austria seems to have an "informal" alliance.

Nothing in colonial scene happened as it looks like. All the more evidence the fear to lose large territories was exaggerated - it takes a lot of effort to defeat a strong nation in colonies, especially if it has friendly nations that could intervene...

But apparently Portugal is slowly but surelly slipping away in the naval technology. With this new support limit and it's richness, Portugal is close to become the class for itself when naval strength is concerned. Only, a few more shipyards wouldn't hurt... Why should the lack of shipyards be the limmiting factor for rebuilding a navies and staying in the naval war and prevailing in the end, when there is surely enough of money to ensure the complete naval domination?

I still don't see what England and Portugal are hoping to get from Poland :confused: ... is it perhaps that increasse in naval support limit? :D :rofl:

That's the spirit! And from "...added the wealth of the carribean..." I conclude I was wrong when I said nothing serious happened in colonies :eek: : so England finally attacked Spain? If so, was Portugla called to help? What happened?

Spain attacked Austria and took southern Argentine.
Then Portugal attacked Austria and took the other part.
England attacked Spain whenever he wanted and took the carribean in afew wars.

Really, really nice :D
So, instead:

- a huge sell of territories that would mean Spain getting Austrian Argentina, England getting Spanish Caribbean and Austria getting (mow much was it, please tell me!) money

it is

- wars with Spain and England getting more or less that they wanted, with Portugal also taking something, and Austria getting nothing :D , as it should be anyway - how dare she having a colony and not having a navy?! :eek: :D

I hope Wyvern is not mad :cool: . Anyway, another point of mine, saying all countries are too strong to even notice losing in wars, is proven: Austria lost colonies worth over 400 d of yearly income, but her income is only slightoy lower than two decades ago, and she can concentrate only on Europe now.

Well, France and Austria were contemplating a 1v1 war to determine once and for all (okay, realistically until the next war) which nation of the two is the mightiest, but since we got involved with our neighbours more or less willingly for large parts of last session, it was canceled, and, as we had stated before the session, while alliance-less we would not attack the other party while it was engaged in war against others, as that would leave us no option but to reinstate large French and Austrian alliances.

A bit artificial, but it DID allow the construction of new alliances and at least some new attempted war aims rather than "flooding Austria and France with soldiers from 8 nations to see who is left".

France even got MA in Austria for our justified 1v1 attack on Spanish Italy to reclaim the Anjou inhertiance (it is only a matter of time) but, alas, attrition marching from France to Italy was brutal and Spain could reinforce at will by ferrying troops from Iberia to Italy, so we lost that one. :(

Fortunately, when Spain, completely unjustified in the eyes of man and God, attacked France 1v1 to take Roussillon a few years later, France did not have to allocate any troops to Italy, and we had gotten a leader to match the Spaniards' mighty men, so the Spanish took a trouncing and gave up Gerona while we were marching on Madrid.*

* "Marching on Madrid" - now available on CD from the French Army Orchestra, with many other classic hits such as "The Maid of Orleans", "Downtown Liguria", "Divers of the Gene Pool", "Halls of Ottawa", "The Whore of Artois", "Gunners Wear Spiffy Uniforms", "The Killing Fields", and - of course- the #1 hit of all times, "Cheesing the Habsburg Wankers"

BTW, does the fact that Portugal is now leading in income and England is somewhat behind mean Portugal is not any longer English vassal? If so, it's not soon enough I say :D .
iirc English stab costs are around 13.000d a bit too much for enjoyment :D
