Interesting that 'Friend of France' is as exalted a title as 'Slayer of the Turk'.
Well, "Friend of France" is certainly a more unusual title and, as such, worthy of recognition. "Slayer of the Turk"? Everybody and his dog qualifies as a "Slayer of the Turk". In Persia, even the sheep qualify. :)

To His Most Serene and Pacific Majesty, Ferdinand III.

The king of Portugal do not own the Bank of Lisbon, and even if its board of directors listens to the king, we can't give them orders. On the other hand, we can warmly recommend the use of the Bank of Lisbon, although we believe that the the House of Habsburg has been a customer for long years of their branch in Vienn.

Signed by the King, Joao IV.

House Habsburg is interested in borrowing the nice sum of 5000 ducats for thei manufactory and fortress program. Would that be possible? :D

:D I wonder what the answer of the sultan to the Persian sheep will be
Well, last time, the Sultan was heard to cry "more, more!" ecstatically, but then, the Sultan is an abomination in the eyes of the most high.

It is interesting how the emperor chose to insult the new Danish king as his first (and second) dicplomatic act. While others have been friendly and honourable, the emperor starts acting as if Denmark were a vassal of Austria. But Denmark answers to noone, especially not the seemingly insane emperor.

What Denmark spends her money on and who we loan it from is no business of the emperor. And Denmark can nothing but laugh at an emperor who doesn't even know the borders of his own empire (Jylland is not part of the HRE).

The proud and honourable king of Denmark is generous though, and therefore wants to give the confused emperor some advice: Do not try to control what is out of reach. ;)

But of course, Austria is free to send it's navy and invade us... :p

Now, the Danish king is making assumptions which are totally unjustified. First of all, the Emperor did not insulted the Danish king, or at least not intented to do so. Where the Danish king answered diplomatic messages of the Emperor bluntly, did the emperor not the same.
Why the Danish says that the Emperor is insane and above all, why the Danish king says he answers to no-one (while in fact he did the opposite) is beyond anything a sane man can understand. At least, this part puzzles House Habsburg greatly.

Denmark is free to spend her money to buy worthless island from heathens, to make the same heathens richer and herself poorer. Denmark is free to loan money for the same thing. Yes, Denmark is completely free to do unusual things with her money. She is indeed free to let flow money out of Christian Europe and spend it on infidels. But as said, with great powers come creat responsibility. The only thing the Emperor wishes is that Denmark realises that there are better opportunities to spend money at. Feel free to ignore it.

Now, perhaps the Danish king can look closely to the province of Jyland. Perhaps the Danish king will then notice that it's an elector of the Holy Roman Empire who currently occupies the territory. As such, it's made part of the Holy Roman Empire. Futhermore, the Danish king can make giggles and jokes about the mighty Austrian fleet, but rest assured that Jyland and Holstein are within the reach of the Emperor.
If the king of Denmark thinks he has rights to those lands, without consulting the emperor, the king of Denmark can happily sail around for as long as he wants, Holstein and Jyland will never be part of Denmark.

And obviously the Shah is more interested in selling that worthless island to gain valuable ducats then to explain to the Danish king that it was NOT Austria who saved Persia from the Turk...

Otherwise, everyone and his sheep will believe that it WAS Austria who saved the countryside.

Both are fine with the Emperor.

Given that it is self evident that only the true mojo of Allah saved Persia, the weak Austrian attempt at obfuscation can safely be disregarded.

Otherwise, everyone and his sheep will believe that it WAS Austria who saved the countryside.
It is doubtful that anybody takes the spineless proclamations concerning foreign affairs from the Most Supreme Infidel Tribal Chief, aka. that Austrian twat, too seriously. He has a history of making doubtful claims in public. Comes with being an infidel, most likely.

Anybody who foolishly doubts who are the TRUE warriors, blessed by the God, exhalted above the unbelievers, great hearts, true comrades, spears of the lord, the lions of wrath - need only consult the VP charts for battle score and peace calculations.

HINT: Austria it is most definitely not.

While the Emperor is somewhat annoyed by the Shah's attempt to insult His Majesty and the country of Austria, the Emperor is also glad the Shah recognizes the fact that it were the spear-equipped warrirors of Persia (together with their sheep) who beat the Turk at their OWN.

So, will the Danish king finally acknowledge that he tried to spread false facts?
So, will the Shah at least punish the Danish king for brutally ignoring the Persian courage in the war with the Ottoman Empire?

OR does the Shah consider money being more important then honesty and friendly words?

Slarg, please edit the following province:

Wisconsin (79) from Denmark to France.

AH, so the Danish King decided to give up all his hopes in North America?
So, the Danish king concentrates on dealing with infidel in the far east and getting islands there (populated by heretics)?
