Ah well..

Regarding Austria and Poland...Before Robertus made the mistake of attacking me, Austria had twice the income, twice the manpower and twice the leadership. There really is no disparity there from Poland's end..

Slargos said:Edits for Venice:
- more galleys
- more trade
- a refinery on Crete
- a CC in Veneto
Edits for Denmark:
- Shipyard in Copenhagen.
- Slightly increased manpower in copenhagen.
- A couple of galleys. Say 20?
- A naval manufactory in copenhagen.
Other edits:
- Portugal should be weakened by having some of their iberian colonies changed to "native" population/religion
- Portugal shouldn't have a core on Al Kharam, that's plain silly
- England should start with a slightly smaller navy
Changes that WONT happen (or someone needs to argue better for them):
- Spain should be less uber from the start
- Bourbonnais should still be independent, for historical accuracy. Not a major point though.
Elijah said:Why is it any nation I play in your games gets negative edits against them? I'm not sure I want to be Portugal in this case.
Slargos said:Did Austria get negative edits?
It's not you, it's me.
Nah. It was decided by consensus that Portugal is far too powerful as is. If you want to switch to Venice, go ahead. I don't mind playing Portugal.
In both TNH and Machiavelli 2, Portugal became the richest nation pretty routinely with a massive navy and locking the pacific from colonization from anyone else...
Elijah said:OE got edited to 5 cultures, which made things much more difficult for me. I have no desire to play Venice.
TheLotus said:I think Denmark needs to be somewhat wealthier as well as have more ships and manpower.
Slargos said:If we're talking 10 warhips, 1000 ducats and 20k men, I'm with you.
Much more than that wouldn't be very appropriate. You have 10 years to beg money from benefactors.
Slargos said:Right. Not Venice, nor Portugal, nor Brandenburg.. what DO you want to play?
Hive said:He can have England, then I'll take BB...
Elijah said:England wouldnt be too fair. Im just griping a bit. Editing for overall balance realism is fine with me, but editing the setup to account for differences in player skill is lame. Not sure what it is in this case, but since all of a sudden theres a big push to make OE less dominant early (completely unrealistic) whereas in last game they were edited to be MORE dominant makes me a bit uneasy.
Slargos said:Oe is not edited to be less dominant. Austria gets slavonic culture to create more of a hotspot in the balkans.
No one knew you would be portugal when the decision to edit it was made.
This paranoia is quite cute, Elijah...
Edit: Could you clarify wether this is a gamestopper for you or not (or what country you DO want to play)? While we do have 3-4 weeks before the game starts, I'd like to get the playerlist pegged soon...
Hive said:Well you guys wanted to give Bohemia to Austria from the start... but I vet o it, dammit!![]()
