Well, lets see:
OE - Sauron
Portugal - The Shire
Austria - Gondor
Spain - Rivendell
Venice - i would say that Venice is Rohan, hehe - if Rohan will go to the dark side or the light who knows (ops.. wrong trilogy)

The question remains: Who is Saruman?

It was the result of two bankruptcies. Nothing that strange about it. One by HG and one by Flatus.

Hugh... thats bad. We need to sort this out.
Will Denmark not be played anymore?
Who will go to Sweden? Will HG continue there?

I think Sweden can not easiliy (sic... how do i write this!!) take out of this. After all, it used this money to fight Russian and Denmark. So, it has to lose something if it will be edited for new players.

From the point of view of the Habsburgs, is easy. Saruman is France

Venice is Sauron's elephant-riding human allies from the East. Related to the Last Alliance, but aligned with the evildoer. :D

So, back to Poland as Rohan. BTW, how were called the allies of Saruman? (to put the dutch in someplace).

And, Spain is not Rivendell. If Austria is Gondor, Spain should clearly represent the other branch of the Numeroneans, the ex-kings of Arnor. In other words, the Rangers of the North. (so Camisa is Aragorn? )

All,

Apologies. Girlfriend all day, unavoidably.

On Sweden, dunno, but I certainly did not have a bankruptcy, nor did I come close to triggering one (if I had any loans at all, they were auto- and not nearly enough to lead to a catastrophe).

About Sweden inflation. Last save (according to the stats here shows that swedish inflation was only 8,3%. The debacle was today

flatus took over a sweden with 4 loans and a war against denmark and russia with no help and war exhaustion still high, i bet his manpower was a little exhausted as well. prolly he went bankrupt fast as finland was conquered fast. hg bitched about auto.loans iirc, so not many to blame but lag and a position flatus would not have wanted to enter if he knew..... :D

as for edits, i won´t be sour whatever happens there, just happy sitting where i sit now. although with a friendly sweden, denmark would have done pretty fine through colonizing na. :(
just give the same to russia then, they had the same hard time as denmark.
either put down their inflation as well or give them some other goodies.

edit: ah hg, welcome back !!!
already thought you left the sinking ship. well, i did ;)

If Flatus did indeed screw it up, I think Sweden needs a rather radical injection.

Now if you give Sweden a radical injection Russia allso demands radical compensations dont forget Russia fought long, hard and spend thousands of ducats only to try vasallize Sweden and if all that inflation was made to avoid Russian victory that wouldnt have taken even single province from Sweden is taken away it wont be acceptable  . As Russia allso lost small forts and fine art academy when Poland broke its NAP with Russia now I RP this war to be Russian revenge on Sweden for its continuing greed toward Denmark and Russia and having declined Russian ultimatum.

Sweden fucked itself up for its greed and now its returned back so it can continue its greedy expansion. hmm how did Slargos but it Russia has room to withraw well maybe Russia just moves it capital to Siberia and lives happily ever after there . Well from now on Russia wont spend a ducat to help Denmark anymore or to uphold any balance in north its worthless.

So I have to say this was last time I do any RP in this game as its obviously completely waste of time and resourses :(. Allso I didnt like that suddenly rules of NAP are changed last time in this game NAP was set in stone now they are worthless like obviously anything thats agreed from now on in this game. Would allso have been anyway useless even to win as Sweden could have broken its vasalship anytime regardless off the possible peace treaty :(.

edit: I dont know how vasallization can after this ever be concidered to be any option at all in this game especially in war as its so bad and destroying thing without forgetting how expensice it is for country trying to do it.

GRRRARRARAAAAAAHAHAH

Anyhow. Persia invested everything it had 100% in land tech, so that by the end of the session, it actually had more then me and forced me to try and catch up. I'd been focusing on going from infra 4 to 6 instead.

The worst part however was that Persia had about a .40 morale jump on me due to same crt, shiite morale and worst of all...A series of terrible ottoman sultans while Persia had the military 9 abbas.

So every five years, on the dot, the Persian hordes would surge across the border assaulting everything they could, causing me to have to screw up my spending (which was tightly controlled between colonizing west africa 'the ottoman siberia' and 20d merchants) and beat them off.

What worse, Persia was singlehandedly ADAMANT about never accepting a white peace.

I always had to wield a huge army at considerable expense, assault everything even with lower morale forcing me to use insane numbers of troops (50k wasn't enough for a minimal fort a couple times) and then be forced to only accept a WP.

This happened about five times. Even after Slargos set the peace to 3 15 years instead of 5, they dowed me anyways after five years.

Persia not having a player royally sucked.

Add to that, I had about a hundred terrible events screwing my stab every which way and I couldn't afford to invest in it while I was still orthodox.

No one accused Flatus of being a brilliant statesman with the long term interests of Sweden in his heart. He was just a patsy to be ruthlessly molested.

Right. In other words, Persia lags even further behind in economic techs, probably has substantially higher inflation for no gain (unless it got lucky with random events), probably lost its few good leaders to wars that gained Persia absolutely nothing, wasted incalculable sums on armies (much more than you wasted on beating them back, I am sure) - and topped it off by diploannexing Oman.

I feel so sorry for you being interrupted by a Persia that wastes all its money on military spending, rather than attempting to catch up economically, I really, truly, do. (Yes, I am sure it was very annoying for you, but I am equally sure that the net outcome is an OE that is even stronger relative to Persia than before the beginning of last session)

Just how many years did you play?

On the positive side, I notice that Persia's AI has been driving you to nuts, so, on balance, I think we can say "mission accomplished". :D

EDIT: Anybody care to host the save file?

I would host the save, but it's at my parent's pc. So, I can use the save too :) Perhaps devil can be persuated to host it at that stats pagina?
I'm very curious at the stats.

EDIT: We played till 1611/1612 IIRC btw

Persia being AI majorly sucked, despite the annoying factor for damo. It allowed the OE to rapidly colonize west-africa. Besides that, Austria would not like to fight a war with the OE without a human Persian player on it's border.
Luckily the OE did not dow.
Though, despite being behind in economy, Persia's land tech is appropriate for a monarch as Abbas :)
If Persia wants to strike, it's with Abbas or never and obiviously the AI understood ;)

Did the AI took -5 stab for breaking the manually edited truce?

Besides that, why did wyvern not show up for subbing?

And besides that, I'll never understand why a Sweden was needed and a Persia not.
Hell, the GM inclined to give favour to a human Sweden above a human Spain!

Dild,

What you displayed was juvenile behaviour. You intentionally broke a rule and when caught offered to be "punished". Well, I'm not your mother, and this is not kindergarden. We've passed the point where punishments are a viable solution. You're not welcome in Europe Unleashed any longer. Please don't disgrace yourself further by changing names again and returning.
Did I say that slargos? :) no I said I did it and offered to be punish to play end of session then quit/be kicked. Though you ignored my ICQ messages and told the others I had quit, good job... So please spare me from your lectures. I have no intension of comming back, i know it was wrong, but learn to fucking relax, christ you are going to get a heart attack.

You are acting like a child, that isn't getting what it wants. I certainly have no intension of continuing this discussion :) calm down, relax it is just a game. :)
