Oh. YOu want make deal-deal again?

I hand over Mantua in exchange for protection against the frogs and the camel-jockeys?

Yes. I am totally for this proposition! Venice shall rise to the cause of the habsburgs!

Fine with me. In return of mantua Venice can rest safely in the warm armpits of the empire.

Turn away from the dark side my dear doge. Go to the light!

The problem is that there a lot of nations currently more interested in the recently open lands to colonization (England, Netherlands, Venice, France, Spain, Portugal). The countries of the North have a conflict of their own. To form an anti-OE coalition it will be needed more than a paralle with ROTK

I would have liked some wars, but I think most southern powers were more worried with the new lands discovered.

And, even if it would be fun to try a gangbang in Damocles  I think the bridges between Austria and Venice are burned and need first to be reconstructed... The problem is the doge and the emperor (and i dont know who is the elf and who is the dwarf  ) have a long history of mistrust and treason. Spain would like tro try to mediate (or better, that the wise, neutral and trustfull king of Portugal propose a mediation).

And the man (me, but unfortunatelly iam not a dunedain ;) ) has problems with inflation, hehe... damn economics... but at least spain is not so bad. The new colonization of Caribe is going slowlly but some advisors says that will be a rich land. But never more I will try to play this damn country!!! Gondor is a little decadent, but still has one last shot!

I am still amazed by the huge inflation of Sweden.

Are you guys sure I should regard HG amongst the elitists?

No idea about HG, but we will do regarding Sweden? I think that in order to be playable their inflation should be lowered (to something still high around 30%). But OTOH we should take something that Sweden gained (or maintained) by that behavior. Since, it seems that since Melchior will be England, Denmark is dropped, maybe Russia should receive something? (a couple of provinces in Finland or in the Baltic?)

And, most important, who should play Sweden from now on?

Well, I for one am against recovering nations ruined by a player. It would mean a slap in the face of Russia.

Besides that, sweden destroyed Denmark. If you're just recovering sweden with edits now, I am sore Melchior will not be too fond of it.

I think Austria is Gondor (they are the ones facing directly the evil hordes of Mordor after all). A land with their greater glories behind, that can support Gondor but are not in the first line, hmmm maybe Spain is Rivendel?

Anyway, I doubt that the intervention of Portugal could heal the wounds between Venice and Austria. Both think themselves as gangbanged by each other, and they do not have things to exchange (what could give Venice to Austria or Austria to Venice?)

Well, Austria thinks both Venice and Austria are gangbanged and thus share a lot of misery. Both have betrayed each other once.

After a whole session without hosilities, it's perhaps time to better the relationship before anything is lost.

Well, we can compensate Russia (that is why I thought of giving Russia provinces), but in their current state who could like to play Sweden? If HG continue to play Sweden, fine, that he lives with the inflation created; but if we need another player, we need to give him a shot.

Would Portugal be the Shire then? :D And Poland Rohan?

EDIT: Portugal's manpower can barely support a 4 man army anyhow...

Pretty good session. The economy of the Netherlands grew by three times, and intrepid Dutch explorers have layed open the world for colonization despite the treacherous Venetian seizure of a certain Javan province :p.

In addition, the Dutch Republic and the Kingdom of Portugal, in the name of eternal peace, have entered a deal whereby several unpopulated islands will be ceded to the Netherlands in exchange for an undisclosed amount of money.
