Agreed. Land tech is absurdly high. Starting from 1492, Russia can barely get land tech 5, if it tries to attain infra 3 by 1520. Its still impossible, and trade always remains at 1. Yet Peter's scenario has Russia sitting comfortably with 7 land tech, 3 trade (!!!) and 2 infra which was a weak concession. I should know, since I just played an Old School Russia in WoI. (Prior, it was 8/3/3)
Those arguments based on tech increases 1492 to 1520 are - pardon my French - so full of shit that you really ought to have abandoned them ages ago.

THAT GOES FOR ALL NATIONS.

Yes, every single nation, or to be more precise, every single nation that I have cared to inspect, is unable to reach the 1520 techlevels from 1492. The techlevels were assigned WITHOUT consideration for the 1492 levels.

Applying a tech increase argument just to the countries that you believe have too high tech, but not to the ones you consider at the correct tech levels (like, for instance, Poland - which by the same token should be no higher than 8/5/2/2 in 1520) is just plain sloppy logic.

OE is going to get so raped it hurts, option 2. was the best, we need a strong and fighting OE. Not one the neighbours can rip to pieces before 1600.

pushed around and kicked around i was a lonely boy :(

from oe to poland to port to russia to oe and now troubles again.
i appreciate your caring here devil :p

if you guys somehow think of giving me a spot which would be more beneficial for the game, go ahead. although i´d despise of playing poland and do play portugal in a saturday game already. it´s in the game.

on the other hand one grows with his responsibilties as a saying goes here in good old germany ;)

First of all, we shouldn't assign Melchior to a nation he doesn't want to play.

Second of all, as I already explained devil: if HG plays OE and Damo plays BB - what about FAL in Austria? He'll be run over just as much as Melchior would in OE...

It's really hard to find a perfect balance. How about HG-->OE, Dukie-->Austria, Damo-->BB?

Hehe. Yeah it's not very nice of you to be so mean to poor little Melchior... :(

But if you play OE, I really hope you have improved since Unleashed 1 - cuz you'll need to... bordering Ebbesen, Dukey and Slargos all at once will be a tough ride...

I know that it could be bad for austria, but robertus in poland should be able to counter damo in bb. iirc Robertus has learned the art of war, by being raped by damo every session in austria. And with poland he should have the upper hand in reloaded. Who says me and rezag wont jump in and attack bb if he dows austria. :p

But your Idea could work, the BoP would be intact, so I am ready to vote for that. :)

See, Peter also agrees with me, Damocles.

On the roster: Moving Damocles to Austria is a dangerous move. Puts a lot of stress on Ganja and our new Brandenburg but with HG in OE and Robertus in Poland, I'd expect he would have his handsfull. (Didn't want to mention Venice there because Venice will be a nice little friend to Austria UNTIL I AM READY TO STRIKE WITH FURIOUS ANGER WHEN HIS BACK IS TURNED.... oops. Said the loud part quietly and the quiet part loudly.. :D )

It'd be something like this then, since Peter has confirmed he'd like to play an on-again, off-again Persia:

Sweden - Devil
Russia - Archduke
Poland - Robertus
Austria - Damocles
Venice - Slargos
OE - HG
France - Ganja
Spain - Camisa
England - Hive
Holland - Lotus
Persia - Peter

Denmark - ? (Melchior)
Portugal - ? (Rezag)
Brandenburg - ? (FAL)

With the three players being moved: FAL, Rezag, Melchior.

Now, Rezag has said he can play portugal already, but I also need input from FAL and Melchior as to what you'd like to play and if you are ok with this move.

You know, I feel a bit sorry for Robertus in Poland. I really, truly, do. Even my most optimistic projections do not include his Poland doing unto Damocles' Austria, what Damocles' Austria did unto his Poland in Machiavelli 2. Rather the opposite.

Right. With THAT setup, any bets on how long any independent HRE minors will stick around?

A fair question, no doubt.

Archduke in Austria is a viable alternative.

hehe that is why I am supporting Hive's suggestion

HG-->OE, Dukie-->Austria, Damo-->BB. Robertus stays in poland.

Which would mean, melchior and FAL has to move. :)

Maybe we can add a mughals player like HG suggested.
Hah, if you thought Persia could be scary, see what a Great Mughal will do to the game. While Persia borders only one enemy, that is the Ottoman Empire, which is stronger. The Mughal Empire borders one enemy, Persia, which is weaker than the Mughal Empire. :D

Trust me on this: A Great Mughal is a very, very, dangerous fellow indeed.

I would rather suggest some sort of artificial barrier to the east to keep Persia mainly western focused without completely precluding expansion. One easy suggestion would be to only allow Persia to conquer Muslim, Christian, or Pagan provinces. That would make the majority of India off-limits for most of the game (depending on Indian conversions)

* Ps: If a Great Mughal is added, I would prefer to be him over the Shah :D *

HEHE, I see your point, the artificial barrier, could be a good idea.

You never should have made mughal so strong in your setup :p ;)

Mwahaha. I am looking forward to this no matter who plays what in central Europe.
