Just curious...

Any room for an extra player using an out-of-the-way minor and observing things to get the hang of MP, rather than playing a more hands-on game?

I'm kinda new to MP and I'm looking to ease myself in.

An impotent Spain? I could do that.

My ICQ is 265730343. Hit me up if I need to know anything.

Just one question...

What's the time difference between CET and PST? :D (Just to make sure, 1800 CET = 1000 PST, or am I completely wrong?)

We don't. Damocles signed up for Spain already.

Just too uber, I'll add you to my ICQ, odds are there we might need a sub.

Reloaded will most probably be finished in two sessions, so I suggest you sign up for the next campaign as well :)

Ah, the board is up...

Good session for Austria, we waged a war against France and Prussia, which ended by the vassalisation of Prussia (and thus ended a long-lasting threat in our north...for now).
After a couple of years another, major, war started between Austria, Denmark & Netherlands versus France, England and Portugal, ending with the defeat of the latter and Austria taking three Italian provinces.

The papacy is released from the claws of the vile French again and Austria is the sole defender of the faith again!

Besides that, I am dissapointed with the lack of show ups...

Suvorov's Skull & Sword Returned To Russia

Tehran Times, January 6th 1798

In a magnificent gesture of goodwill to show "no hard feelings" after the unprovoked Russian attack on Persia during the umpteenth Persian-Ottoman war, the Shah has ordered the skull and sword of General Suvorov returned to Mother Russia.

"We shall long remember the bravery of Generalissimo Suvorov", the Shah told your humble correspondent in this exclusive interview granted by his grace, long may the Shah reign in glory over the believers, "a brave man, and true to his empress. I still remember the first warnings of his coming as he crossed the border into Daghestan... Hmmm. Some hundred or hundred-fifty thousand soldiers at his back. Nothing impressive, or so it seemed at the time. Certainly not enough to distract us from the Egyptian or Anatolian campaigns."

"The campaigns against the blasphemy on earth, the vile seed of corruption, the.."

"Yes, the Sultan, may Allah roast his balls. He suggested that WE attack our loyal vassals the Uzbekhs in order to gain access to Russian Siberia? Utter folly, and such folly must be punished. But I digress, don't interrupt me so. Now, where was I. Oh, yes, Suvorov and his little army managed to quickly take the large fortresses of Daghestan and Armenia by assault - a most impressive feat, truly, his battle mastery was impressive. A shame, really."

"A shame?"

"That he didn't get better backup. As the Tsarina Yekaterina should have known from her LAST ill advised attack on Persia, foreign soldiers die like flies in our mountains. Of course, she was a woman and women have no military sense. Why they ever allowed her to rule I shall never understand. If Russia had bundled her off to the seraglio of Ismael Khan in 1762 as the wise Karim Khan suggested, they could have had a real man on the throne.

But I digress.

So, pretty soon Suvorov is marching South to Nuyssaybin ready to assault yet another fortress and it is only now that the next hundred thousand or so Russians start marching from Astrakhan. It is a shame, really, but it would be criminal folly to let him be reinforced when he is overextended like that, so the Shah ordered the trap sprung"

Killing Generalissimo Suvorov, 1791
killing_suvorov_1791.jpg

I was personally in charge of the second column on the orders of the Shah, and I remember that glorious day. Poor Suvorov. Annihilated in a single combat phase in Armenia, men, horses, cannons all.... And all for nothing. The Ottomans had already signed the treaty of surrender giving up Delta and Egypt and his weak-willed mistress was just about to sign an unconditional status-quo-ante peace. There is probably a moral lesson in there, somewhere, and I am sure the general would have appreciated it were it not for the fact that he was, well, dead.

Apart from the obvious lesson, that is: Don't mess with Persia.

But now, with the Russian harridan dead and a sensible Tsar on the throne, it is my pleasure to return the skull and sword of Russia's finest general for a proper infidel burial."

Tzar Pavel I sends hes personal thanks to generous Shah who so honors Russian greatest general. State gift will be sent to represent how the people of Russia warmly thanks Shah.

On other news Tzar Pavel I has decided to withraw all support that has been given for Sultan of Ottoman empire who has tryed to stir another war over Uzbeks people who live free under Persian protection. For three times Russia has declared war against Persia spend huge amount of resourses and many great leaders have fallen to help Sultan and this is how Sultan thanks Russia he can be sure no more military help wont come to help Ottoman empire any more.
