Wtf is all this edit shit you have agreed in my absence? Arco, is this your work? Then you do the edits, dammit! :p

Well, the danish government fell and then World Conqueror did not wanted to take all the BB and assorted issues. I asked the people interested in the area if thay agreed -including the tzar- and they said yes. I am a GM that listens to the people dear Hive :), if the players approved BRA proposal to solve the mess, well they got it.

No problem with making the edit anyway (and nop, no scandinavian culture for BRA). Basically, we go back to the situation previous to the government falling. Although, could people be more careful? if you let the government of your AI foe actually is your problem, rebels are not your friends even if they are fighting your enemy.

Actually the reason this was approved, exception from approval from the Tsar to give some norwegian provs to Sweden, was that Russia got a similiar edit with Lithuania if you remember.

Which is exactly what will happen when you do my requested edits or?

I don't want to alter Arco's decision, but he's got a very good point here:

So I think that in the future, if people have the government of their foe fall; they deal with the consequences.

And Hamster: The Russian situation was TOTALLY different, as it happened not due to a government falling - but due to an event having an unfortunate side effect.

As it has come more and more clear that this change of Austrian politic is nothing more than poor excuse to attack France while it would have been fighting Spain and even call other to join Austria on their attack France has no choice but to change its own politics radically.

So all France colonies and ownings outside europe will be sold to Spain & Portugal no point for France to try keep them anymore let Austria have what they want coloniless France. No more buying more nations to attack France to get France colonies while France is busy in Europe and no more Spain vs France wars.

If other nations have problems with this they can send them to archduke of Austria who wishes weaker France and thinks its only good for him. Well France just have to grant Austrian wish by coming weaker and only interested of europe. But France wont let it be gangbanged because Austria needed poor excuse to attack France when it was about to fight Spain.

The Wien Gazette. January of 1644.

It has been reported to us that austrian forces had been put in yellow alert after that statement by the king of France was received in Wien. The official reason is since is not clear what the french king means, and precisely due to that reason austrian forces need to be prepared for any eventuality.

In other news, the Wien Gazette has learned that the prince elector of Brandenburg had dropped -again- his title of King of Northern Germany at the request of the Holy Roman Empire. The Gazette has been informed that the Archduke Ferdinand III is definitely worried about the current danish-brandenburg war and had informed the Brandenburg ambassador that only european or colonial gains of Brandenburg will be accepted, but not gains in both.

Some sources had informed us that some people in the court -cowards obviously, we think in this most loyal of newspapers- is worried about the current policy of the Archduke, that had brought to our dear homeland a lot of conflicts with several of our neighbours (Brandenburg and Russia). We had learned that some extremely treacherous people had called our most wise Archduke and noble Emperor 'mad'

[After printing this issue, the Wien Gazette was closed by order of the Archduke and his editor imprisoned being guilty of high treason according to the Imperial Courts]

Gazette is an common name in early newspapers (and obviously a newspaper in 1644 is early). I could had used Courant as a name too.

I thought fun that information about Austria was written not as the Archduke but as a newspaper (with political conflict and all). I prefer to write in character, even if the character is not always the ruler.

And kings and other kind of rulers could be unwise not to take on account the information of the Gazette. After all, the policies written there are official austrian policy (i.e the statement on France and on the BRA-DEN war) and the information put there is what Austria knows (that BRA dropped the title of king recently used).

(BTW, and the less that forgettable movie is quted the better Hive)
