Did you choose your nation? Once you choose your nation, I'll submit it to a vote.

It's interesting to see what happens without a UK to force people to back down. You seem to rely upon massive conquests to match others instead of keeping neutral countries around as buffers like the TOW guys seems to be doing. Although it will be fun to watch your massive wars, I fear this might end up in a very 1984 political setting rather soon. (Especially if Russia prevails :D)

Of all nations, dutch is by far in the best shape, with colony and all. All the others are facing serious issues right now or potentially serious issues. If players in this game weren't so agressive, I won't be so concerned but given what has happened so far...it doesn't look good...

What about Japan, it comes with its independence guaranteed by the mighty USA :D

Dunno about others. But, the Kaiser can'r wait till tomorrow to see the peace-loving German people try and convince other peoples to join his country so that we may all love peace together.

Wonder if I should put our game's page in my signature ;)

Europe Associated News Service

We interrupt your regular program for this emergency broadcast.

Do not weep, maiden, for war is kind.
Because your lover threw wild hands toward the sky
And the affrighted steed ran on alone,
Do not weep.
War is kind.

Hoarse, booming drums of the regiment,
Little souls who thirst for fight,
These men were born to drill and die.
The unexplained glory flies above them,
Great is the battle-god, great, and his kingdom --
A field where a thousand corpses lie.

June 19, 1850 : Russia declared war upon France.
June 21, 1850 : United Kingdom joined the war on the same side as Russia in their war against France."
June 21, 1850 : Prussia joined the war on the same side as Russia and United Kingdom in their war against France."
June 21, 1850 : Spain joined the war on the same side as Russia, United Kingdom and Prussia in their war against France."
June 21, 1850 : Netherlands joined the war on the same side as France in their war against Russia, United Kingdom, Prussia and Spain."
June 21, 1850 : Netherlands has mobilized!"
June 21, 1850 : Austria dishonoured a Military Alliance she had with France."

War has erupted. Ottoman and Austria later joined on the side of France. Preliminary reports are few and in between but early reports indicating France has been surrounded. Both France and Prussia has mobilized more than 1/2 million man for their effort. Spain tried to join on the spoil and mobilized about 150K troops.

Austria alone has already lost 100K troops to lag. Ottoman and Russia has both placed over 500K troops facing each other at balkan and caucus region with fierce fighting reported. It is estimated perhaps around 3,000,000 troops have been mobilized and being committed to battle as we speak. Stay tuned.

The year is 1851, the war to end all war has begun. Perhaps it's the war that will start all wars, like one player comment during another crash/recess.

And about USA.
Why didn't they entered in the war?
Humm...
Perhaps while the others are fighting, the USA are preparing their troops! :D
They had the Civil War coming up. It turns ou the two didn't overlap, but he couldn't have know that at the outset.

and of course, Prussia, Russia, and Spain pile onto UK right after the war to show some more group hug :)

As for USA, well, when you start GC, USA is pretty dead last. USA become "pwoerful" historically because frankly, other nations didn't go on such a conquest spree like they did in this game.

If everything goes according to history, then yes, USA will be powerful, but later. USA start pretty far behind other GP, it's not even funny. :)

Just start up USA and you'll see. Play SP and face the same constraint USA has to face as Russia and other players threaten USA's plan of expansion.

USA is in better shape than say Spain, Sweden, or Greece in MP but remember USA start pretty far behind, it requires other nations to stay still just for USA to catch up.
