Yesterday the final version of the Swedish EU was delivered to Vision Park. For more information on availability; go to http://www.visionpark.com

---

Does this mean that we'll have in our hands soon or will we have to wait even longer?

As I recently noted on the 'Vision Park: hatehatehate' topic, the norwegian version, according to Vision Park Norway, will not arrive until 2001....probably in january.

It appears the ever-so-wise people at VP decided that Christmas sales was a Bad Thing. Obviously the thought of making money is alien to them.

LOL, and if the game arrives in Dane land before the Swedish release, the Danes will be chortling at the Swedes in the same manner. If only The Vasa dynasty knew about EU back then!

As Janbalk said it was 1905....and dont worry Janbalk.
Everyone knows you swedes aint all knowing. :p

And 2001 in Norway!!!!!!

I really think this could seriously impact on their sales. They might lose potential customers to Sierra....as they are releasing Team Fortress2 and Tribes2 soon.
Orso I hope.
But if Tribes2 and/or Team Fortress2 gets released before or at the same time as EU many people whould buy one of those games instead of EU I belive.
Because Team Fortress2 and Tribes2 is some of the most anticipated games that are in the making. And people(including myself) who dosnt have too much money to buy games for might choose one of these games over EU.
Also getting people to notice EU when there are other great games out there who already are some of the most talked about games there is will be difficult.
So I hope Visionpark changes their mind about this because if they dont they might end up regretting it afterwards.

You can't be serious. Those games are marketed at a whole different crowd. I for one would never dirty my hands with such mind-numbing tripe. Admittedly I am a hardcase, but still...

AFAIK, EU has no real competition, just marketing problems.

Well.....there are quite alot of people who are interested in several types of games. Like me for example, I like strategygames and Firtsperson shooters.
So Im gonna buy whatever of the three games mentioned that comes out first.

And what does AFAIK mean???

AFAIK = As Far as I Know

Yeah, sure, most people are interested in several genres... (Me: RPG and Strategy)

However:

1) If you feel an urge to play a strategy game, you choose between strategy games, right? You don't buy Team Fortress 2 if you want to build an empire and rule the world.

2) If your two most anticipated games of the year should happen to come out at the same time, you buy both, because you have wisely made sure that you can afford it.

3) There are always new, well known hit games on the shelves. People who know nothing of EU will pick those other titles by default.

Well.....due to EU`s onstant delay I have instead purchased Ground Control. Best damn game I have ever bought(except half-life).
So if TF2 hits the shevles first then byebye EU.
And if both games come out at the same time there is no point in buying them both. Ill rather buy one then and one later.
And I doubt they will be released at the same time so Ill go for the game that comes out first.

So if TF2 hits the shevles first then byebye EU.

Wait wait, are you saying that you will never buy EU if TF2 (an FPS) hits the shelves first?

Suit yourself, but I don't see the logic in that.
